for the umpteenth time. @elonmusk Most people don't understand why we alternate between daylight savings and standard time. Changing the clocks is a compromise between the states on the eastern side of the time zone and the states on the western side. Western states benefit from standard time in winter, eastern states benefit from daylight time in summer. If you take away this compromise and leave the same time all year long, one side or the other is going to get screwed over, and people are going to be pissed off. If Elon & Vivek get rid of daylight savings time, i guarantee you that the New England states will immediately leave the Eastern time zone and move 1 hour ahead to Atlantic time.
