I can understand the need for services to be accountable, yet I cant understand the debate over whether these officers dealt with this situation to harshly.
Its a life and death situation, where id much prefer to see the good guys go home at the end of their shift.

Watch as police officers confront a man suspected of carrying out a terrorist attack in north London where two men were stabbed. The suspect refused to show his hands, was violent and continued to pose a clear threat. Using only their training, courage and tasers, they detained him while he continued to try to attack and stab them. This took true courage.

@FennellyKieran @SamanthaTaghoy They’re trained to restrain using minimal force- not perform a section 18 GBH on a mentally ill man who’s laying face down. My husband has been stabbed.9 times and it’s a lot worse than this guy did. He hit him once,took the knife off the guy and folded him up.

Still holding the knife so still a threat to them & others. Potentially carrying a device. Object is personal safety, gain control, disarm as per force continuum.
