@HebrideanAngus

I'm the former SNP MSP for the Falkirk East constituency. Now back home, a resident Hebridean and loving it. Retweets are not endorsements.

Trump is finding out the hard way that you can’t tariff Europe, abandon Ukraine, praise Putin, threaten to invade Greenland, constantly insult Europe, and then expect Europe’s support in an illegal and badly planned war built on lies that he launched without warning us

This lunatic needs a strait-jacket… Is anyone going to stop him, or are we just going to let him bring the whole world down with him?

To be clear it is a £40m project with £20m from Ryanair, £15m from the Scottish government and £5m from the UK government. The key figure credited with organising the Ryanair–Prestwick deal was Kate Forbes, Scotland's Deputy First Minister.
UK Government Scotland@UKGovScotland

📢🛫NEWS UK Government Minister @kirstyjmcneill was at Prestwick as @Ryanair announced a £40m investment made possible by the UK Gov’s Ayrshire Growth Deal. This expansion is securing 1,200 highly skilled jobs by building Ryanair’s largest heavy maintenance hangar in Europe.

"I've never seen an American president, not just in our lifetime, in the last two centuries of American history, be that critical of a British prime minister." @RNicholasBurns tells me "a fundamental mistake is: disparage your allies, make life difficult for them at home, you really can't expect them to be with you in a fight that they didn't start

Jesus wept. Started a crazy war. Watched it unravel. Now signals a retreat and insists that other countries - who rightly wanted no part of it in the first place - go in and clear up the mess he created. What an appalling president. What a shameful episode.

Perhaps Trump didn’t sufficiently endear himself to his NATO allies by threatening to annex a couple of them, belittling their war dead or starting a major new war without consulting them. Throwing playground abuse should definitely do the trick!

Trump lashes out at Europe and NATO this morning, calling them "cowards" for not assisting the US in opening the Strait of Hormuz.

Energy bills are estimated to soar again by £332 from July. Households cannot afford to take another hit. I am calling on the Prime Minister to urgently convene a four nations emergency summit and freeze the price cap now.

Activist: "The water usage for beef is obscene. Thousands of litres per kilogram." Farmer: "That's rainfall." Activist: "What?" Farmer: "The figure includes all the rain that falls on the pasture. The cows drink from the stream. The rain falls whether there's a cow here or not." Activist: "It's still water consumption." Farmer: "Should I stop the rain falling on my field?" Activist: "Grow crops instead. More efficient." Farmer: "This is a 35-degree slope in the Welsh hills. Show me the crop." Activist: "Technology..." Farmer: "To make tractors climb mountains?" Activist: "There must be a solution." Farmer: "There is. It's called a cow." Activist: [checks phone]

😱: Leader of Labour in Scotland Anas Sarwar asks a female photographer “did you get my stroke pose?” “What!?” He laughs and doubles down: “a picture I saw online, it looked like I was having a stroke.” Anas Sarwar must apologise! Not acceptable for a party leader.

What an extraordinary and profound debate this has been. Passion and emotion on both sides of the argument by all involved, but rarely have I seen a debate handled with such respect and honesty. #player" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">bbc.co.uk/news/live/cx2g…

Thank you Liam McArthur MSP. You were calm, compassionate, coherent and poured energy into the case for assisted dying over 5 long years. You couldn’t personally have done any more. I’m sure thousands of Scots support you.
