@JoshEberley Because it isn’t hard to see him being Ace Bailey

This film is just plain appropriation and daylight robbery of West Asian and North African people's language and culture atp considering the cast. If you didn't know who this white lady is, you'd think it's just a photo of an indigenous Algerian woman.

BREAKING: Law firm Kirkland is defying the private equity slowdown with a record $11.1 million partner pay for 2025. Kirkland became the first law firm to break $10 billion in annual revenues last year, advising on more than $800 billion of M&A deals in 2025.

The guts of Ryan Coogler to write and pitch a Rocky movie to Stallone at 28 years old and then get it made and have it be an immediate all timer is something I think about a ton. Guy is really, really special

Top 4??

salsa roja is way better than salsa verde

Name a movie that deserved an Oscar

Conan O'Brien says he has "incredible empathy for people who have immigrated to another country" after traveling to Ireland and seeing his great-grandfather lived. "I went back to Ireland and I [saw] a great genealogist who said, 'I found where your great-grandfather’s home was.' The home is gone, but he found the little spot where he lived, near the Galbally Mountains. He said, 'I’ll go there and show it to you,' and I said, 'We’ll do it on camera.' "I was expecting to have these jokes loaded up; we had props and funny things we were going to do... But I got there, and I did not expect this because I'm not someone who wears my emotions on my sleeve, but I got emotional. It was very powerful. "This was a very small plot of land. He was a tenant farmer, so it wasn't his. He didn't have money, and he needed to move on because it wasn't working; probably not enough to eat, couldn't sustain. So, he left and went to America, and here I am a couple of generations later. "What's amazing to me is when you have that experience and you stand there, I have incredible empathy for people who have immigrated to another country. It takes an entire lifetime to go to a country where, often, people don't speak the language. They have to spend their entire lives just getting things started for the next generation; it's a whole lifetime that you're feeding into this process. "I was just thinking about this guy, whom I'll never meet, who had to do that. I think I was overcome by the fact that there's a lot of sadness in that story, and in a lot of these stories. People leave not because they think, 'Hey, I just want to go have fun in America.' They leave because they have to." (via Jimmy Kimmel Live)

Over the past few days I’ve been doing an *extremely* deep dive on demographics, past primary election results & contours of the Illinois Senate Dem primary. Here’s my model (not a prediction!) of what I think the 30 sub-regional benchmarks would be for a tied race between Raja & Stratton: Statewide: 🔵 43% Stratton 🟠 43% Raja 🟢 14% Kelly Chicago: 🔵 53% Stratton 🟠 31% Raja 🟢 15% Kelly Suburban Cook: 🔵 39% Stratton 🟠 43% Raja 🟢 17% Kelly Collar Counties: 🔵 36% Stratton 🟠 50% Raja 🟢 13% Kelly Downstate: 🔵 35% Stratton 🟠 56% Raja 🟢 9% Kelly

@chibbqk1ng @sunflower_ro23 Can you enlighten the class to the spots?!? Hungry stomachs are curious

As a former uni prez...Best higher ed reform no one talks about: raise the ceiling on standardized tests - a lot! Too many top students max out, then compete on expensive pseudo-extracurriculars instead of actual merit. Wider score distribution fixes this.
