i feel awful for the art team just because they made arguably one of the best looking things in WoW (the sunwell against the voidstorm), but then apparently the story gets in the way of "progression" so it was gone in less than 2 months :/

I’m using “RWF” somewhat hyperbolically cuz of the character limit but I should’ve known that’s the one thing people would latch onto, cuz obviously 🙄 I’m referring to competitive PvE in general. Story should not be improvisationally dictated by competitive raid progression.

@Icebish1 In the hours following the post, countless comments appeared claiming that the artwork was repulsive, attacking both the artist and the person who commissioned it. Fortunately, most deleted their comments after receiving harsh criticism.

@Hegdros The artist himself explained it best. The piece is beautiful. Not sure what the original criticism was, if it was criticizing the art or the alliance player but we should all also keep in mind that art is up for interpretation. People can form opinions, and we can disagree.

Insulting artists or people who commissioned art simply for depicting what bothers you will never prove you right; on the contrary, you will be rightly labeled as irrational, unpleasant, and a complete loser.
