If you are going to dismiss anyone because of their vernacular and not the content of what they are communicating, that is not a reflection of them, it is a reflection of you. For your benefit this response was composed only using “full words”, no contractions like “it’s” or “don’t”.

@fette_a @TheBreakdownAB I was wrong. This app brings out the worst in me. I’ll be logging off. Arguing that Trump wearing makeup is normal, is a bit of a stretch. But I shouldn’t care. Take care. Sorry for the drama

@fette_a @TheBreakdownAB I think adults should use full words. If they don’t, it’s tough to find them credible. I believe it has to do with a leader who wears makeup and governs on social media. Society is not going in the right direction.

@Hello_its2023 @TheBreakdownAB I meant the Breakdown, who you are talking down to for saying “totes”. He is a paramedic. So you assuming he can’t change a tire, won’t give up his seat, etc is a ridiculous take. He does a hell of a lot more for people than token chivalry.

@fette_a @TheBreakdownAB I believe the elderly have earned it. I don’t mind standing so a pregnant lady can sit. Sorry, I am always going to feel that way. You seem classy Is he a paramedic or technician you trained? Why not watch a video and learn? No curiosity? It’s so strange

@Hello_its2023 @TheBreakdownAB You think people should give up their chairs? I think you ought to sit down, and get the fuck over yourself. You are lecturing a man on how to speak, he’s a paramedic. He saves lives. I think that’s a hell of a lot more than changing a tire, you petty little manchild.

@fette_a @TheBreakdownAB Can he change a tire? There so many dudes that can’t and want to preach about being a man. I am the “wokest” guy around and I still think it’s proper that a dude can change a tire, hold doors open and give up their chair for those who need it.

@AlbertanAFk They don’t “need” to do anything. If they want to leave the best country, they can sign the petition. It’s their choice. When you see all the posts on social media, most of them are off putting. Folks that think they are helping are actually hurting their cause

4.5 years ago, if you voted to remove equalization like 62% of Albertans did, then you need to sign the petition and vote YES again in October. This is the ONLY way we will fix equalization. And it can’t be ignored this time.

If communities in BC choose to hold local or regional votes on their future, that is not radical. It is democracy. These votes may not redraw borders overnight, but they send a clear message about consent and legitimacy. If Ottawa or the NDP try to dismiss or invalidate those votes, it only exposes their fear of public opinion. You cannot claim to defend democracy while working to silence it. Every major political shift starts locally, with people organizing and voting. Ignoring that reality does not stop it. It fuels it. Honest question: If governments are so confident in Confederation, why be afraid of letting people vote?

@fette_a @TheBreakdownAB I think women like a guy that holds a door open, can fix stuff and cut grass too. Its difficult to have a grown up conversation with someone who says “totes”. Buddy is not a professional or a blue collar worker. I do not know what industry that would be kosher

In the past week, gas prices across Canada jumped up a couple of cents per litre. British Columbia apparently saw the largest increase, according to the head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. In Vancouver alone, prices rose by 6.5 cents per litre. ⛽️

Jason Kenney 🇨🇦🇺🇦🇮🇱
Trump’s latest unhinged threat to Canada is one part toddler level temper tantrum, and one part $ grift. My hunch is the Trump organization just got some kind of payoff from Detroit’s Maroun family, who own the competing Ambassador Bridge. They have spent 20 years lobbying against the new bridge to maintain their monopoly on one of the world’s busiest border crossings. The right response from Canadian government leaders is to ignore the insanity. Of course if he actually tries to block operation of the Howe Bridge, the Governments of Canada and Michigan as its co-owners should immediately challenge the Administration in US courts. In the meantime, let’s keep calm and carry on.

Not a surprise- our former NDP government caused this by cutting medical school intake on the advice of some health care economists (who received the Order of Canada for their work)! | News dailyhive.com/vancouver/bc-w…

If there is a lawful, democratic path to make things better in British Columbia, would you want to be part of that process? If the options were clearly laid out, the risks explained, and the benefits transparent, would you participate? Would you engage in the discussion, vote on the direction, and help shape a better future for BC? This is not about unilateral action or reckless moves. It is about whether the people should have a real say when existing governance is failing and normal avenues are exhausted. Do you see the benefits of having that choice, and do you believe British Columbians deserve to decide what comes next? Comment, share, and join the discussion.

I’m immensely disappointed by the Alberta Teachers’ Association's decision to withdraw Paul Brandt as one of their keynote speakers at the North Central Teachers convention this past week. Not only is Paul Brandt one of Canada’s greatest musicians, but his organization “Not in My City” has been leading the fight against sex trafficking for years— especially when it comes to endangering our children. Standing up for the victims of sex trafficking is most certainly a non-partisan cause. While the ATA searches for some sort of explanation as to why they cancelled his recent appearance to engage with teachers, I'd encourage all Albertans to learn more about the important work that Paul does by visiting his website: notinmycity.ca
