If we do indeed sign Lankshear, that’s the biggest show of intent we could have had this window imo. Very excited

An icon of English football. The thoughts of everyone at MFC are with Kevin’s loved ones at this desperately sad time. Rest in peace.

We are incredibly saddened by the news that Kevin Keegan OBE has passed away. Kevin earned 63 international caps and scored 21 goals between 1972 and 1982, before managing the #ThreeLions from 1999 to 2000. Our thoughts and condolences are with Kevin's family, friends and former clubs.

Whether you're red and white, or black and white; you can do nothing but admire this man. Fabulous player, and as a manager, brought about a renaissance at the club he loved. At times like this, rivalries just have to take a back seat. RIP Kevin Keegan ❤️🤍🖤🤍 #SAFC #NUFC

Mentioned this briefly on today's @footballramble but why is everyone comparing what happened last night to the semi on Weds night? "Why couldn't we do this against Argentina, lads?" etc. And I don't mean football fans, I mean actual journalists. The two situations are not even vaguely comparable. Am I missing something here or have I lost my mind entirely?

The media before hand were saying what a waste of time this game is as the players want to go home. Both French and English. Now we’re 4-0 up, we’re all world beaters😂. I literally turned it off before half time as the commentary, inc Danny was so cringeworthy. When it mattered against Argentina we weren’t good enough. Now we’re playing in a pointless friendly that France clearly can’t be arsed about, the commentators and the likes of Ohara are the frothing at the mouth over it, we’re now world class 😂.

@conwayglazer @thedivaszn Lol Paige knowingly dating a transphobe is ok then? Paige choosing to return to a MAGA company is fine? Wrestler morals only matter if you personally like them. Makes so much sense.

I get asked a lot of questions and a lot of it is easy to ignore. You’re too loud, you’re annoying, why is your head so big. However. I was asked a question that provoked me into writing this. It came from an Instagram follower and the message was simple: “How do I get excited again for a new season when the hurt of last season is still fresh?” It was a bold comment, a thought-provoking one, and like you, I thought the same. Maybe most do. Perhaps that’s why we see so much negativity on social media whenever the club posts. But there is one thing that has become so common now that, if you can’t accept it, you’re on the outside. The fact is, everyone has a voice. and in this motion of everyone having a voice it means we are constantly surrounded by opinions, hot takes, and endless noise. While this brings incredible diversity to the conversation, it also means the sheer volume can be overwhelming. Remember that last part especially. Kim Hellberg often says he idolises those who can see the bigger picture and look further than what is right in front of our faces. We see the loss of last season, the chance we had fade away, and all the Spygate crap. It’s overwhelming. But if we take that same noise into next season, are we really giving Kim the best chance of success? I don’t think so. As much as we feel our voices aren’t heard, we can be incredibly loud. And when the owners hear us and feel that weight, it too can become overwhelming. So… You ask me, “How do I get excited again?” I ask you, “Do you trust Kim Hellberg?” Do you believe that what you saw last season, even in the lowest of lows, showed a way of playing worth trusting? Because I do. So I trust Kim. I trust that he knows the pain, the hurt, and the endless tiredness we feel from forever being the bridesmaid. I trust he knows the anger, the dismay, and the pride we had in being the club that stood up for what was right. And I trust that he will lead us into battle again. Because that’s what leaders do. They dust us off, pick us up, and say, “Come with me.” The pain will always be there. But one of life’s greatest lessons is not to live in the past. What can be done with it now? Let it sit where it belongs, and don’t let it become overwhelming. Look to the future. Let the noise of a new season and fresh faces excite you. Become overwhelmed by the hysteria of what could be once again. Because that is football. And that is Middlesbrough. Be kind to yourself and allow yourself to enjoy it. Don’t let others diminish your love for this club, because it is love—otherwise, why would it hurt? So be loud, be noisy, and be grateful that you are a part of this great club. Because together… We are overwhelming. Up the Boro.
