◽ CIP-0116: Featured App Locking. A new governance framework requiring Featured Apps to lock 5M CC (or 25M CC for higher reward tiers), with a 30-day compliance window and 60-day unlock period.
◽ 166 new validator operators approved, continuing to expand the decentralized infrastructure powering @CantonNetwork.
◽ Unified developer documentation launched. Role-based learning paths, consolidated SDKs and tooling references, and a built-in AI assistant to help builders navigate the full development stack.
◽ @OneSwapCC approved as a Featured App, joining the growing set of applications building on Canton.
◽ The Canton Foundation team attended @SEABWOfficial in Bangkok, connecting with builders and institutions across the APAC region.

Good morning my loves ❣️😌
So I only just started poking around the Canton ecosystem recently and honestly, I don't know much. Just being curious.
But @HelvetSwap is the first project that I decided to read properly , well maybe cause I love the name velvet.
I expected the usual. TPS numbers, the yield promises, and the hype projects carries around.
Instead I kept seeing things like isolated pools, bounded risk, Daml contracts, failure surfaces, modular architecture.
I won't pretend I understood all of it immediately. But something about the way they talk about infrastructure felt different. More deliberate.
The thing that clicked for me was this every pool runs as its own Daml contract. So if one pool has a problem, it doesn't automatically take everything else down with it.
That's not how most DeFi works. And it's a simple enough idea that once you get it, you can't unsee it.
The ApeChain integration also caught my eye. ApeChain has a whole culture around it- NFTs, community, identity. And HelvetSwap plugging into that means they're not just building serious infrastructure and calling it a day. They want real people actually using and experiencing it, not just institutions moving liquidity quietly in the background.
Both things at once and they're doing it early. That's not something I expected to find.
I'm still very new to this space. Still figuring things out.
But when a project makes a newcomer stop and genuinely want to understand what they're building that must mean something. 😌

Canton had another busy week.
@CantonFdn approved CIP-0116, so Featured Apps now need real $CC locked to keep status: 5M CC for apps that are not issuers, 25M CC for issuers.
Infra kept growing too. Canton welcomed 32 new validator operators, including CME Group and Kakao Bank, while @digitalasset brought in Oberon Knapp from OCC as Global Head of Equities.
@beincrypto also named @CantonNetwork to its Institutional 100 blockchain infrastructure long list, and @CantonNetwork rolled out a cleaner developer docs hub with learning paths by role, contribution flow, and more support for AI assisted building.
The app layer was moving fast:
- @temple_ny crossed $100M in trading volume, while SBI Group led a strategic investment in Temple Digital Group.
- @alpendhq launched ONE, a CC backed programmable dollar asset for Canton DeFi.
- @cancore_io went live with non custodial atomic swaps between Canton and public chains.
- @Rho_Labs launched Rho Relay, opening private access from EVM to $CC.
- @Oneswapcc was approved as a Featured App, adding a native AMM for CC, USDCx and CIP-56 assets.
- @Bybit_Official added USDCx deposits on Canton, a big step for exchange stablecoin access.
- @Certora won a @CantonFdn grant to build open source Daml security analysis tooling.
- @zenithfdn shared more technical detail on how EVM transactions settle as native Canton transactions.
Payments and wallets were active too: @HandlPay pushed social handle payments, @Send added verified user features.
On DeFi and RWAs, @EQ_market made the case for a Canton native credit layer, @edeldotfinance added STRCx markets and @trize_io broke down tokenized RWA market infrastructure.
Narrative wise, @BSCNews, @UpholdMarkets, @StovenLabs, @wesarn_real, @HelvetSwap and others kept unpacking why Canton’s privacy, validators, AMMs, credit layer and institutional rails matter.

CIP-0104 changed how Featured App rewards are calculated on @CantonNetwork. Previously, rewards required manually created activity markers. Now they are based on actual traffic spent on the Global Synchronizer, measured directly through sequencer and mediator data.
