If #Australia has been such a success with its management of HIV then why is it that forty years later we still don’t have answers as to what lay behind our nations worst #publichealth disaster #taintedblood? That’s great news for victims of #Australia’s deadliest medical scandal #HIV & #HepC #contaminatedblood transfusions who have been pleading with our nations public broadcaster that they investigate only to be denied by @ItaButtrose. Did ‘Ita’ block investigations due to her role in promoting deadly #Haemophilia treatments that she promised were purified but were anything but? 1400 #Haemophiliacs with hundreds of them being children were killed by #taintedblood. And so the @ABCaustralia wouldn’t go near this as long as Ita was their chair. Now we hope a new chair will lead to the ABC doing its job finally after all these decades of #coverup.

In Ontario, for-profit #plasma centers will now pay people to donate 2x/week. But the American @RedCross allows *voluntary* donation only every 28 days related to cautions about *donor health*: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P… But sure, let's trust more of our health to private interests.
