I’d be fully behind Acun absolutely tearing into Southampton and the EFL at this point. The one time that it wouldn’t be a bad idea for him go public. #hcafc

@Lewis_Shepherd5 Sky Sports would be celebrating their ‘fairytale’ promotion to the Premier League
English

Genuinely wonder what would happen if it was Wrexham who finished 6th and beat Millwall? 🤔
Might be the cynic in me but bet they wouldn’t be in our position #hcafc

À side who lost and a side who cheated have an advantage over a side who didn’t. Make it make sense. #hcafc

@HcafcT @Scottwilsonecho There’s a lot of things that the EFL rightly get criticised for but this entire situation has been created by Southampton’s attempts to cheat for a play-off semi-final (and possibly longer than that)
English

@HcafcT @Scottwilsonecho These investigations normally take over two weeks. This is an expedited process that even still feels too slow because of the nature of the playoffs. The EFL also won’t want to dish out a legally weak punishment that leaves them with a long drawn-out legal battle with Southampton
English

Yesterday, Hull said they were releasing Wembley ticket information today. Today, they've released a statement saying they don't know when they'll be in a position to release that information or start selling tickets #Boro
Interesting. Very interesting⬇️

@HcafcT @Scottwilsonecho Tbf to the EFL it’s such a quick turnaround that it’s impossible to deliver a solid investigation and judgement so quickly. It’s Southampton who have created this absolute mess by spying in the first place
English

@Scottwilsonecho The fact we’re now being brought into this mess is a joke.
We qualified and we know we’re in the final. This is now impacting our preparations for our biggest game. It should have been sorted before Boro and southamptons 2nd leg. EFL are a joke
English

@stocksandsants @upthemtigers “Fair and square” when you’ve been charged with cheating 😭
English

@upthemtigers So is putting a team in the final that lost fair and square
English

If they move the date of the game, that’s an absolute joke.
Get Southampton gone and give it to Boro and we’ll play them instead. #hcafc #boro

All options are on the table, and that does include the final against Southampton (as it stands) being moved from next Saturday. Wild situation, and fast-moving. #hcafc

@secondtierpod @JacobsBen Southampton deserve punishment for what they have allegedly done but surely this inadvertently punishes us (Hull) as we could potentially have our opponents and therefore our preparation swapped last-minute whilst Boro will be able to exclusively prepare to play us
English

Boro are expected to keep training despite their defeat tonight to Southampton.
This comes as a potential sanction over Southampton regarding Spygate.

English

@itzashley06x Surely they can’t just swap Middlesbrough in (as much as Southampton deserve to be punished) as it would inadvertently hamper us as we’d have to switch up our preparation at short-notice whilst Middlesbrough can prepare for playing us just in case

@MFC_Blah @ChrisEd90172340 @alexcmfc No. It got reduced to two windows and it’s an EFL punishment anyway so even if we still had it we’d be ok to spend in the Prem
English

@ChrisEd90172340 @alexcmfc Would they not still be under an embargo?
English

@JCKM8816 @bxnlufc @FPLTom_ Our win at Middlesbrough is probably the best example of the point I’m trying to make where we take a good chance early on then sit back and defend our box well. Middlesbrough racked up lots of low xG shots that can be more easily defended which totalled to a fairly high xG

English

@Henry__63 @bxnlufc @FPLTom_ I get you, it'll obvious vary between every team you look at. I've just had a quick look at the stats from last night and 10/14 Hull shots were in the box, which is impressive, but explains why xG was 2.12. Celtic had 14 shots vs Falkirk with 8 outside the box, totalling 1.10 xG.
English

@bxnlufc @FPLTom_ It’s more relevant over the course of a season than a singular game. If a team consistently over-perform their xG then at some point you’d feel their luck will run out, kina thing. There’s a ton of different metrics that going into figuring out what the xG of a shot/goal is.
