Minor point of order: I believe you meant to use "miltwitter" instead of "milblogs". There is a very big difference. "Miltwitter" was/is a notoriously nasty, vindictive and left wing gaggle that during the worst of times (2018-2022, some have gone to BS, others have gone quiet, but a fair bit are still active, in not as effective), ran around twitter as a Red Guard. In addition to trying to tear down anyone who was not aligned with their orthodoxy, they often turned on each other over non-alignment with whatever was TheCurrentThing™, or whatever slander they thought would bring them personal clout. "Milblogs" references individuals who have blogs focused on military matters. More specifically, the "milblogger" is most associated with the first cohort of bloggers who emerged in the mid-00s with their own blogs, writing consistently--a few times a week--for years. Though mostly right of center, it was not exclusively right of center and we all supported each other and got along just fine. A non-exhaustive list that I know I will miss a few of: @ArmorerArgghhh, @HeroLabradors, @LaughingWolfOne, @JimHansonDC, @JoelBubblehead, the late Lex, @chapomatic, @lawofsea, @steeljawscribe, @dustmans, and I know I am missing more. In general, a "milblogger" should have/had a stand-alone publication, a "milblog." Those who contribute to publications or group-blogs may or may not be considered a blogger depending on the frequency of posting and, for a lack of a better phrase, branding.

@LiLa__lee18 If i hear a dog in a store, or catch a glimpse of one, I make it my mission to pet that dog. If I'm in a bad mood or sad, they make me smile. I want more dogs in stores.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, dogs are the best part of my day at work. When people bring dogs in and I can pet a dog, my stress level goes down. I love the people who bring their dogs in. There is a reason there are therapy dogs. Dogs bring joy.
Tandy@dantypo

I’ll argue with you all day about whether or not dogs have a place in restaurants or stores or what have you. (They don’t). But if your go to defense is “well I don’t like being in a restaurant when someone brings their kids”. You’re a fucking moron & already lost the argument.

Adele Zig “ Reminds us of the Grace of God June 20 2005 - the day that changed the trajectory of the Ziegenfuss family. Today we celebrate 20 years of perseverance, healing, and the impossible. On this day, 20 years ago, dad met the business end of an IED while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. His heart would stop…TWICE, he would contract MRSA…twice, and he would lose his pinky, (among many more graphic physical and mental injuries) His duty never ended though. He would return to the middle east in 2011 serving in Afghanistan for 6 months, and wouldn’t retire until 2015. As many if you know, his DD-214 would also not be the end of his service to the United States. He started Hero Labradors in 2016 with the goal of giving back to the veterans that give their all for our freedoms. In almost 10 years, we have donated 199 of our dogs to veterans, first responders, gold star families, police departments, hospitals and other facilities that aid our disabled service members. But none of that would have ever happened if Dad didn’t get hurt. In 20 years he taught me how to persevere against the impossible, to always fight for the right thing, that your mental and physical health DO NOT determine the rest of your life, and serving others is the most fulfilling thing you can do in your life. Happy 20th Alive Day, dad! You’re my biggest role model…and the biggest pain in my ass; I’m beyond proud of your recovery and absolutely honored to be your daughter. Now let’s go eat some steak!” Adele Ziegenfuss @HeroLabradors

@terryschappert @WVmotoguy Terry, you're good people. If you ever need a dog moved from Texas to wherever you are, or anywhere in between, let me know.

The real hero in this scene is @WVmotoguy . He just drove hours to get this 14 year old Molly dog out of the shelter. Now he's driving back home for two hours. Tomorrow, we're gonna meet approximately half way ( we're 8 and a half hours apart), and I'll bring Molly to the beach. We have the best corner on Twitter and nobody can deny it.

@SharrellAnne2 So... here's what I did. A friend is a professor at RIT is the art dept. Had a competition among design students for a logo. They submitted designs, prof selected top 3, I chose winner. I put up $100 for a prize. Got it in a whole bunch of formats (pdf, svg, jpg, vector)

Y’all, I need some help. As we’re building the SSG Alan Shaw Foundation, I’ve been trying to figure out what our logo should look like, and I’m realizing I have no idea where to even start. At its core, this foundation is about honoring our fallen and making sure their legacies continue to live on. Whether that’s helping families return to the places that matter most, creating opportunities to connect with others who understand the journey, or simply ensuring a hero’s story is never forgotten, that’s the heart of what we’re trying to build. If you were creating a symbol for that mission, what would you include? Throw your ideas at me. Pictures, sketches, random thoughts… I’ll take all of it. ♥️

@cdrsalamander Yup. Dude's getting arrested, then transported to the ER, where he's gonna get an orthopedic surgery consult to make his elbows bend the right way again, a dental surgery consult for new teeth, and a proctology consult to remove LOTS of office supplies.

It is amazing here that no one is making the obvious point. The minute he struck that women, the other men there should have dog piled that guy and hog-tied him until police arrived. They outnumber him 4-1 ffs.

An aggressive immigrant disrupts a public office, causing distress to staff. This situation reflects the ongoing migration crisis in Europe. How can we maintain safety and social order in society? 😟🇯🇵

Had a really productive day here. Mike at the Knitting Mill delivered a boatload of gloves we have been OOS on, more of the Pure Prairie socks. Paula got a bunch of soil amendment bagged up and stuffed 30 more dog beds. Nice to get a few things accomplished, been out of so much lately.

It’s December 10th. I’m sending out my charitable donations today. No matter how much you earn, there will be people who are wealthier than you, and people who are less fortunate than you. Don’t make it a competition. Be happy and content. Giving some away to help others in need, no matter how much you give, will make you an all around better person. It puts life into perspective. Pick a small local charity, call them, ask how to donate, even if you know how. That call will make your day and theirs. Lastly, a very important part of this process, INCLUDE YOUR KIDS. Teach them to be part of a solution, to make a difference. They’ll be better people for it, and they’ll look at you differently, they’ll see good in you they didn’t know existed. Merry Christmas.🎄🎁
