@NYCMayor NYers deserve a Mayor that loves this country and has their best interest at heart. The best thing you can do for us is resign and move out.

New Yorkers deserve a tax system that funds essential services and protects the communities that make this city thrive. Proud to appoint Richard Lee as Commissioner of Finance—a Queens native with 20 years in public service and a proven record of smart, people-first budgeting. Together, we’re building a fairer, stronger NYC.

@cityaestheticss Let's move to one of the biggest cities in the world and try to make it a park..... Move to the suburbs or somewhere rural if you want to be one with nature. People like the ability of driving around the city. Mass transit is crap. Leave people's choice alone implant.

@JayCostaUSA I pay extra every month to keep the lights on in front of my house to keep people from pissing on my property and to keep criminals away. These people are the worst. The only thing that frustrates me more are the people who vote for them expecting free shit.

🚨 TURN OUT THE LIGHTS - New York has introduced a bill in Albany that would FORCE ALL residents to TURN OFF their outdoor lights at 11 PM or face FINES of $250-$500+ EACH TIME! The "New York State Dark Skies Protection Act" is a bill aimed at "reducing light pollution, conserving energy, protecting wildlife, and preserving views of the night sky." The law would require property owners of all kinds, (single family homes, multi-family homes, apartment buildings, commercial buildings, etc) to shut OFF their outdoor lights from 11 PM until sunrise. Leave it up to New York to IGNORE blatant problems like CRIME, BUDGET DEFICITS, and HOMELESSNESS surrounding us, yet FORCE it's LAW-ABIDING residents to comply to their USELESS and DRACONIAN Lighting mandates, OR ELSE! Keep Fighting 🇺🇸

@big_pedestrian @NYCMayor Got to love the way you guys change the age ranges to support whatever agenda you push. To justify anti 2a children are 1-19. To justify laws against cars is 1-12, so disingenuous.

We're implementing the largest expansion of Sammy’s Law in city history: lowering speed limits to 15 MPH at every eligible school by the end of our first term. And we’re not waiting to get started. This year, we’re lowering speed limits at 800 additional locations to 15 MPH, bringing the citywide total for School Slow Zones to nearly 1,300 by the close of 2026. New York City’s streets should be the safest in the world - especially for kids - and City Hall is using every tool at our disposal to make that a reality as quickly as possible.

@NYC_DOT Teach your kids to respect the streets. Don't chase after a ball. That was common knowledge in the 80s. It is tragic that he died but Sammy ran into the street with oncoming traffic. We keep pushing laws but how is it there were less fatalities with less safety years ago?

📢Breaking News: Speed limits will be reduced to 15 MPH near schools citywide. Using Sammy's Law, we're starting with 800 school locations this year, with plans to expand to all 2,300 school locations across the five boroughs. 🔗bit.ly/4safLoR

Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration has inked a new nearly $1.9 billion contract with the city’s hotel industry to provide emergency shelter to homeless families over the next three years. But even with the ebbing influx of migrants, the city is still grappling to shelter more than 100,000 people a night — the highest level since the Great Depression of the 1930s, according to the advocacy group Homes for the Homeless. The city Department of Homeless Services’ three-year contract is with the Hotel Association of New York City Foundation, representing nearly 300 of the Big Apple hotels. “The contract is for emergencies not migrants, and allows capacity to be created as-needed and the budget depends on that need,” said Vijay Dandapani, president and CEO of the Hotel Association. DHS currently has a $929 million contract with the Hotel Association, running from Jan. 1, 2025, to June 30, providing up to 10,651 hotel rooms for homeless families. More than $626 million has already been paid out, according to the city comptroller’s office. A spokesperson for the hotel industry said it was helping the city address a serious homelessness problem and that hotels on the market offer a wide range of lodging prices. A 1981 “right to shelter” consent decree entered into by the city requires officials to provide shelter to all those who need it. The city used to deal with individual hotels on providing emergency shelter. But it began contracting with the Hotel Association during the COVID-19 pandemic to immediately provide thousands of rooms to help contain the deadly once-in-a-century outbreak. nypost.com/2026/03/13/us-…

NYC Mayor Mamdani confirmed undocumented children will be included in the city’s universal daycare program. While Washington is launching wars on feelings, mining shipping lanes, hiding wounded soldiers, and letting a congressman post that Muslims don’t belong in America New York City just said every child counts. That’s the contrast.

@ImMeme0 Those gun laws only work to keep the law abiding from defending themselves. People don't want to confront these criminals because then they would be charged. Corrupt backwards system promoting anarchy.

If @FDNY leadership claims protected bike lanes are an existential threat to fire response while ignoring their own employees blocking fire hydrants, maybe we should stop treating them as an authority on fire safety.

@PhilSustainable Wrong. NYC needs to stop overcharging us to park on streets that we pay for. People in the Suburbs don't pay for the parking like we do. If the city needs revenue maybe they need to stop the handouts and administer the money properly.

Suburbs outside NYC charge for parking. NYC mostly doesn’t. If NYC copied the suburban model used by towns like Rye, New York, it could raise about $1.3B a year and reduce government handouts. The suburbs are more “capitalist” about parking than the city.
