When kids act like this, it is extremely irresponsible for adults and the larger society to simply explain it away as a lack of hangout space and avoid serious consequences for these kids. You cannot go through life throwing chairs at people and face zero consequences.

With her full support, Meghan’s party went to all-out war against independent expertise and scientific rigor. They were very successful. Now she’s upset that the world is harder to understand and scarier to live in.

Can someone who is an expert in this space just keep it real with me and tell me if I should be worried about Hantavirus or not? I've got 3 kids and the youngest is 4 months old, I don't know what to believe.

It was great to spend an evening in South Haven with @SeanAMcCann, who I'm thrilled to support in Michigan's 4th congressional district. Senator McCann has won tough elections in West Michigan before, and he is the right leader at the right time to finally flip this seat blue. Join me in supporting him here: secure.actblue.com/donate/sm-webs…

This shit sucks, man. The Democratic & progressive ecosystem needs to do something about scam PACs like this and the digital orgs that send these texts.

youtube.com/watch?v=r95Y9G… One of the coolest parts of the Artemis II mission is how much respect they show towards kids' curiosity and interest. They're the optimal messengers for showing the next generation what could be possible.

Sen. @ChrisCoonsforDE: Is Trump eligible to run for a 3rd term under our Constitution? Trump Judge nominee: Um... I would have to... to review the- the actual wording-- Coons: The language of the 22nd Amendment makes it clear that no, he is not eligible to run for a 3rd term. Anybody else brave enough to say that the Constitution of the United States prevents President Trump from seeking a 3rd term? Trump Judge Nominees: … Coons: Nobody? Alright.

Yesterday’s Supreme Court decision striking down Louisiana's congressionall map is the latest development in an ongoing effort to hollow out the Voting Rights Act of 1965, ruling by ruling, year by year. Roughly one in three Louisianans is Black, and the Court has now made it harder for those voters to have an equal say in who represents them. The Voting Rights Act did not appear out of thin air. It was hard-fought, and won. From the Old Courthouse in St. Louis, where Dred and Harriet Scott sought their freedom, to the Edmund Pettus Bridge, where marchers bled for the ballot, to courtrooms and churches and union halls in every corner of this country, generations of Americans gave their sweat, their tears, their blood, and too often their lives so the vote would truly belong to every citizen. They were told literacy tests and poll taxes were neutral too. History exposed that lie. We should not have to learn it again. Congress has to answer this moment. That starts with passing the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and restoring the protections this Court keeps stripping away. As a former prosecutor, I know a right without enforcement is no right at all. The right to vote should never be on the chopping block.

Mayo Clinic
Mayo Clinic@MayoClinic·
A Mayo Clinic-developed artificial intelligence (AI) model can help specialists detect pancreatic cancer on routine abdominal CT scans up to three years before clinical diagnosis. It identifies subtle signs of disease before tumors are visible, when curative treatment may still be possible. The findings, published in Gut, mark a milestone in Mayo Clinic's multiyear research effort to enable earlier detection of one of the deadliest cancers. Learn more: mayocl.in/4eippBP

My two cents on the ppl-can't-afford-kids pieces is that this line about compromise is the most important line of the story. (I say this as somebody raising 2 small children in a 1200 sq foot apt.) For most people, "affording kids" means compromising on lifestyle. Your home doesn't feel as spacious as you'd like, you can't go to some weddings you're invited to, your vacations look different. It's usually not as simple as "if I have kids we'll starve to death." It's usually more like: "I like my lifestyle as it is, and I won't be able to afford to do the things I want to do." But it's only a compromise if you still want it. And for me, having kids changed what I wanted to do. Personally, I stopped caring about my home being pristine and spacious. I stopped wanting to travel and go out so much. Like, you couldn't pay me to fly to an acquaintance's wedding. And my kids are a get-out-of-jail free card for stuff I don't want to do anymore.
