67/🚶Bevan Lands, just west of Jerry Rogers' Creek in 14th Ave Ravine. Found a hidden path far into the forest. Except for the litter, it's a heavenly urban piece of forest with chirpers all around. / Deforestation of these ~13.1 acres of City of #Burnaby forest is ongoing.

@metrotowner Metro Vancouver has already said they plan to scrap the aging incinerator by 2026. Burnaby stepped in an said they will acquire it and run it through the city with additional $245M to keep it operating until 2029. Replacement parts to bring it up to standard will cost $100M.

Bill 7 gives BC’s already authoritarian top-down NDP government sweeping, almost unlimited powers with zero oversight.
