Can't we all just enjoy our gaming?
@HicksCutte2363
I'll always love Nintendo but lately I've been gaming on Steam. Do I hate any company? No, they don't own me and I choose how I want to play.

@JezCorden I have the ROG Ally Z1E and absolutely love it. I boot it straight into Xbox Mode. What I love is instead of what Steam BP does where it goes to desktop and then eventually loads up, Xbox Mode straight up loads and starts when you boot up the console. It's awesome.
English

@K__Med I personally use digital. As an Xbox owner who also commutes to work, it's convenient to plop down on the couch and jump into a game or take it with me with Xbox Play Anywhere. HOWEVER, I do support physical media for those who use it. I prefer physical books and movies still.
English

“Trying to look for it on a shelf.”
This guy makes it sound like you need the Dewey Decimal System to find a game in your own house. And the irony is he’s standing in a physical store to buy a digital card.
The shill energy is off the charts.
Also, when did we become so lazy that getting up to put a disc in became some kind of hardship.
SquareLit@PressX_O
Popular opinion: Digital is superior to physical because I have much faster access to all of my games without the hassle of trying to look for them in a shelf.

@IdleSloth84_ Dude, nobody is even looking at Denshattack
Cause sweet disco hair next to it is pumping us up for some PBA Pro Bowling 2026! Let's go!!
English

@IdleSloth84_ Beat Dungeons of Hinterberg a couple summers ago and bought it on sale. Don't sleep on it, it's a good one!

@NostalgiaPro I'm probably most psyched that you're a fellow Niners fan. Let's go! (from up here in Sacramento)

Minimalism is one of the worst lifestyle trends of my lifetime and I'm glad I escaped it.
Over 15 years ago I bought into the concept. Boxed up almost everything and put it in storage. Kept a handful of current gen games on the shelf, a couple of posters on the wall, and that was it. Own less, be free, all of that.
And for a while I told myself it felt good. Clean surfaces. Nothing extra.
It only took a couple of years to break. I started missing things. Actual things sitting in boxes in a storage unit. Games. Movies. Stuff with history attached to it.
And I started noticing something else: everything around me had no character.
My space looked like a rental listing. Beige, empty, and cold. It could have belonged to anyone, which meant it belonged to no one.
That's the part nobody tells you about minimalism. It doesn't just remove clutter. It removes evidence that you exist. Every shelf you empty is a story you can't tell anymore.
So I went the other way. Pulled things out of boxes. Started collecting again. Started enjoying things again.
Now I sit in a room surrounded by 30+ years of games, consoles, and memories, and it feels more like freedom than an empty room ever did.
Keep your history.
Keep your hobbies.
Keep the stuff that makes your space yours.
That's not clutter. That's character.

@44F0rc3 It is. I grew up with the NES and was always a Nintendo-first guy (except for the OG Xbox/GameCube era). However, I switched from the Switch when I got my XSX on Xmas 2020 and haven't looked back. While I'm not into all Xbox exclusives it's the best hardware out there, bar none.
English

I've recently noticed bad XBOX news isn't having that negative impact against XBOX like it used to, but the media is still attempting to sway the masses into hating XBOX. I'm sorry but that shit isn't working anymore. Focus on Playstation and the way it duped millions of gamers into thinking that they're not doing the same exact thing that XBOX got 13 years of bad reputation for. How the turn tables. Oh yeah, Good Morning XBOXERS and remember, XBOX IS RETURNING. 💚🎮😏👌🏾

@idk12349_ @GameStalgiaX I actually only had a Wii for most of that gen. I got a 360 and sold it for a PS3 cause I just wasn't into all the FPSs. Then my PS3 collected dust and eventually got the yellow light of death in Dec. 2009. Sold it for parts and stuck with my Wii and played lots of retro games.
English

@HicksCutte2363 @GameStalgiaX “everyone doing FPSs” whole time I bet your console libraries were full of popular games and no variety lol
English

@AussieGamr One thing I like with the Ally is it is thicker so gripping it feels way more comfortable than the Switch or Switch 2. One thing I think Nintendo and Steam users can agree is that portability is awesome with a wide variety of games to choose from. That's why I moved toward Steam.
English

@AussieGamr Eh you don't need internet, though obviously you need it to download games.
I was playing Balatro and Wingspan but ended up buying those on Steam so I play the Steam versions. I also have Octopath 0 on Xbox that I use for XPA but I just can't play it. Burnt out from the series.

Back in the hotel room after another work day and honestly the Switch 2 is just the best console for travel.
I’ve been through the full handheld line Game Boy, DS, 3DS, heck even Sony's Vita.
On this trip the Switch 2 just clears all of them.
The screen holds up, the battery lasts long enough, and the real win is having this kind of variety in a single bag.
I’ve got Xenoblade when I want something deep.
Star Fox for quick missions between meetings.
Mario Kart when I need something lighter.
Metroid Prime 4 and Donkey Kong Bananza are right there too. And Nintendo Switch Online means I can drop into Game Boy Advance classics whenever I want an old school portable hit.
And when I get home and use dock mode, all these games spring to life in real 4K, HDR, surround sound and buttery smooth framerate. It's like a welcome home upgrade.
This spread on the bed is basically my entire rotation right now.
What’s the one Nintendo game or setup you never leave home without when you’re travelling or working away?
p.s. Follow me for more Nintendo love! I take back what I said about the hotel Wi-Fi being good but add me on Switch 2 for some Star Fox Battle Mode when I get back: SW-4504-4427-4511

@IdleSloth84_ Gonna say an 8. Love the older Halo games but I feel this game won't blow anybody's mind BUT will be absolutely fun. If it scores anything less than a 7 on a site then I question their ethics
English

@Lobs_All_Day This has to be rage bait for sure. Look at how Jimmy G and Mac Jones did with Shanahan compared to outside the org. Chalk some of it up awful defensive coaching two years ago and defensive injuries last year and 2020. Dude used backups to make the playoffs in 2022 and 2025!
English

Kyle Shanahan is the most overrated coach in the NFL and it's not close. He can't think outside of his box. He's lucky he has Brock purdy who can play outside of the little box Kyle puts him in. 49ers would be so mid without Brock's playmaking ability.
When is the last time Kyle out-schemed a good dc he was going against? All of his tricks are old and figured out and he doesn't learn from his mistakes. Ben Johnson is so much better than Kyle as a play caller. Watch the tape.
English

@CharlieHust77 I feel ya. I game on my ROG Ally with Steam and XPA (and, of course, emulation), and a little on my Series X. At this point, if nothing else was released and all future console plans died I'd be completely content with just having what I have since I've yet to play so many games.
English

It’s wild how rapidly gaming is changing.
I went from being primarily an Xbox fan to all but abandoning them. Now Sony is killing off physical media and I have no use for them going forward. With both next-gen consoles probably exceeding $1,000 anyway, I’m just not doing it anymore.
I’ve really enjoyed the Switch 2 so far and might not have any other newer device beyond that. Plus I have a ton of retro consoles and games.
I’ve had almost every major console since the Atari.
Just weird to think Switch 2 might be my LAST new console.
English

@ghostgamerman I'm personally all digital at this point (love being able to switch between my Series X and ROG Ally using XPA) but it throws me off that Sony doesn't even offer a disc drive attachment in their future plans.
Gaming should be for everyone! PS and Xbox fans unite!
English

This isn't about PlayStation vs. Xbox.
This is about physical vs. digital. 📀💪🏻
Ghost 👻@ghostgamerman
Fuck Sony... but in green 💚 #PhysicalMediaForever 💿💪🏻
English

@LoveRetroBTW I'd return all and play Astal
English

@Pingui812 Haha right on. I just moved over to Steam on my ROG Ally and I've been working on a few games but man some of these shorter games take a while for me to beat. Either way, cheers to gaming!
English

@HicksCutte2363 It's hard, I've beaten like 20 of these, but that's mainly cause I enjoy 100% the games, lol
If you prioritize gaming it's possible. I don't really watch movies or TV series. I just game instead. I play in the bathroom.
I find the time 😂
