@lunchmade I have a challenge for you, Todd. Post a picture of a card or pack that I *don’t* love. So far you’re failing miserably.

Kyle Schwarber is the 13th Phillie in history to strike out 5 times in a game. Odds are pretty good he'll eventually become the first guy to do it twice.
Chart, of course, from @baseball_ref

@obxleatherman @BravesStats Nine career complete games is out of reach for >95% of today’s pitchers
English

There are only two active pitchers under 30 with multiple shutouts in their career: Hunter Greene and Logan Webb both have two.
We might not see another pitcher with seven career SHUTOUTS, let alone no-hitters.
Baseball In Pics@baseballinpix
Nolan Ryan pitching in his 7th no hitter. Is this the most unbreakable record in baseball?
English

@obxleatherman I think Indians also had a long losing streak to start that season? Maybe 7 or 9 games?
English

Fun fact: the 1988 Braves also lost 10 in a row to begin the season, but because the Orioles were so bad, no one seems to remember.
FunBaseballFacts@FunBaseballFact
Today in 1988: the #Orioles lost their 21st straight game to start the season. It set an #MLB record for the worst start to a season, and an American League record for consecutive losses at any time in a season. They ended the year with a 54-107 record, 34.5 games out of first.

Murakami is the 16th player in MLB history to strike out 45+ times in his first 30 career MLB games. The other 15 are a VERY mixed bag.

High Heat Stats@HighHeatStats
Munetaka Murakami now has 45 strikeouts in 30 games, which for a full 162 games equates to 743 strikeouts in a season. Ok, it’s actually 243, but that’s still a lot.

Guess what day it is @HighHeatStats

@BravesStats @obxleatherman @CChapro832 @notgaetti @orwellian My guesses were Sosa and Foxx—Foxx came close but no cigar.
English

@obxleatherman @CChapro832 @notgaetti @orwellian I did almost type Griffey because I know he had those 56/56 seasons. Did he get the RBI?
English

Babe Ruth had at least 45 HR and 135 RBI in six straight seasons from 1926-1931. Only two other players have reached these marks in four straight seasons. Who are they?

@LuisBauza @TheBeatwriter I think this is correct. In English, the “-“ definitely means “for” or “of”. In Spanish, I gather it means “to”.
So in English, it’s “hits in 7 of 9” and in Spanish it’s “9 converted to 7”.
English

Creo yo 😂
