#CanMnt fans will tell you they are going to top this group… Without Davies the only player that would start for Switzerland is Jonathan David.

Most of this commercial was filmed in NORTH VANCOUVER. Community events in North Van like Lynn Valley Days have been cancelled this summer because cops say they'll be too busy policing people around World Cup matches to police community events.

People lose their minds if you do a land acknowledgement but it's fine if your entire city hall is repainted to honor FIFA

@Snake1633691791 @navsteets That is the entry to the stadium where there will be activations for ticket holders… Granville island also has fan zone about 15 minute walk away from this.

@HighOnCaps @dubsndoo Again, you’re struggling with common sense so let’s try this easier. Montreal is playing at Home Canada is hosting mostly neutral games number one. It’s two different things when it’s your hometown team to neutral games.2. BMO has to sell twice amount of tickets at that price.

@DonTaylor5 My work is being shut down for the month of June because of it, no income for that whole month for me. The world cup can piss off as far as I'm concerned.

From Expo 86 to the 2010 Olympics, I can’t remember an event coming to Vancouver more surrounded by negativity and indifference than the World Cup.

@perianudan @DonTaylor5 Social media barely existed for the other two events. There was plenty of negativity going into 2010.

@DonTaylor5 We're in a socio-political climate which does not allow for excitement without fear of criticism. Maybe not for Expo, but there were negatives to the Olympics however people did not fear for social exile by embracing the spirit of sport due to political difference.
