@PeteSchaad So essentially the current 'Caps want a permanent version of this. 🤔

Today, I was excited to join @AnneKangBurnaby and announce free live match viewings at the new PNE Amphitheatre as a part of the FIFA Fan Festival Vancouver! There will be 2600 free tickets for each match available on a first-come, first-served basis. This is about more than just soccer, it’s about our city’s incredible energy and providing a fun, safe, and accessible FIFA World Cup experience for all! dailyhive.com/vancouver/vanc…

“Respetamos la Torcida de Alajuelense pero este año ya jugamos en Honduras, ante el Inter Miami en el Coliseo, nuestros jugadores han jugado finales de Mundial, Champions y Europa League….. tenemos experiencia” Marc Dos Santos DT de LAFC

I haven’t spoken up on the Whitecaps deal because I never thought the PNE was a viable site. I felt it was moot. Despite what the mayor says, no mass transit is being planned. It’s also a complicated site for a building that size from a geotechnical and engineering perspective. It’s a rich archaeological area, and getting power to the site isn’t simple either. The Whitecaps need something fast and accessible—this site is neither. But here’s another example of what happens when deals are done on public lands behind closed doors: a lack of scrutiny creates bad projects. It’s a very bad precedent.

"The sites that will no longer have supervision include Spanish West, Spanish East, Sunset, Third and Trout Lake.” All so Chip Wilson and other billionaire real estate speculators can get a massive tax break. evictkensim.ca
