4. The Cromarty ferry is never running

Things I have learned in the Highlands 1. If something is 4 miles away it will take 1 hour to get there 2. Harry Gow’s bakery beats Greggs hands down 3. You cannot capture the beauty of this place in a photograph it’s impossible

@HighlandCouncil @CorranFerry But no information on the cancellation of today's Camusnagaul service. If you can't provide dependable services in rural areas, folk won't use them. And i am one of the willing ones. Frankly just a bit of a sh*t show at the moment, despite constant fab effort from the crews.

Highland Council has announced a free 12 passenger service across Corran Narrows (Nether Lochaber to Ardgour) from tomorrow morning. It will start at 6am and is in addition to the already running service from Ardgour to Fort William Pier (linked tweet) - highland.gov.uk/news/article/1…

@CorranFerry The small passenger ferry from Fort William to Camusnagul is operating today too. Leaving Fort William at 17.30 and 19.00 and leaving Camusnagul at 17.40 and 19.10 if requested

The passenger ferry running between the narrows is now suspended due to adverse weather. The passenger service from Fort William is going to do an extra run and will be leaving Ardgour at 16:15. Sorry for inconvenience.

@alice_lyall Hi Alice the ferry departs every 20 to 30 minutes every day till the end of September hope this helps

@BuckleCliff @Dolphinchaz @CromartyHarbour @vandykebros The ferry will be operating till the end of September this year hope you’re able to make it across unfortunately we didn’t get to operate last year due to the pandemic

@Dolphinchaz @HighlandFerries @CromartyHarbour @vandykebros It’s my ambition to go on the Nigg ferry, unfortunately we are up in May and September and it’s always been closed, Stayed in Balintore this year and it was a fair drive to Cromarty.

The Corran is now back in service sorry again for the inconvenience this will have caused.

Due to technical issues the Corran ferry is currently out of service. We will update this site as soon as we have resolved the issue. Sorry for the inconvenience.
