@CllrScottArthur @KayeNicolson @HighlandCentre @edinhelp I believe my partner got through to you on WhatsApp. I can't mail right now. It's the oxgangs polling centre

Forget #dogsatpollingstations, what about #babiesatpollingstations? Looking forward to covering #GE24 at @HighlandCentre tonight. An overnight shift shouldn't be too bad given I have so much recent experience of sleepless nights 👶🏻

@edinhelp @CllrScottArthur Thank you, that's great to hear. Have you managed to get any of my photos or do you need any other information??
English

@jacwtsc @CllrScottArthur Hello, i have passed this on to the team for there attention thanks, Sophie
English

@CllrScottArthur People in Edinburgh South can't vote because the pavement and road are both blocked to anybody with any accessibility issues. Please help me get this fixed. I don't know who to call. @edinhelp @CllrScottArthur
English

@edinhelp @CllrScottArthur I've been trying to send this for about half an hour but I think every time I add the photos it's not sending
English

@edinhelp @edinhelp can someone please clear the signs off the pavement outside the polling station on firrhill drive? It is currently inaccessible for people to vote. There are more signs down the pavement. Van also parked over the temporary ramp.

@CllrScottArthur @CllrScottArthur the oxgangs polling station has it's pavements blocked by signage. It needs clearing so people can vote

@nigelbagshaw @EdinVelo Walking will be maintained but they've said cycling will not.

@pgr3master @monzo Is the disabled Railcard available? It wasn't on your list on your website but would be the one I am able to get?
(Sorry stole your post q here as I also feel that if I can't I'm losing out)

@Roo1985gin @CllrScottArthur It is startling how much the council are plugging that they are supporting active travel whilst planning to remove the path!

Where Edinburgh folk want to see money spent on transport:
1️⃣ Public Transport (68%)
2️⃣ Walking and wheeling (57%)
3️⃣ Cycling (50%)
4️⃣ Driving (26%)

Walk Wheel Cycle Trust Scotland@WWCTrustScot
Earlier today we joined partners at Edinburgh's City Chambers to launch the city's #WalkingCyclingIndex You can read the full report for #Edinburgh here: sustrans.org.uk/the-walking-an…
English

@CllrScottArthur @kennywales89 Could have used that reply as an opportunity to educate people about how these things are paid for.
People listen and follow you, please correct them rather than let them still think that only 26% of people are paying for this.
English

@kennywales89 Feel free to share your analysis. 👍

@CllrScottArthur the perfect reason to turn the wonderful green corridor of the Roseburn Path into a concrete monstrosity.

Future generations may call us ‘the sleepwalkers’. If they are kind.
English

@CllrScottArthur @ktgodd Define safe?
Do you mean well lit? Or that like the roseburn a 5 year old can be let loose on it.
Will it be completely traffic free and away from the road?
Will you still be able to stop and talk on it?
Can you safely learn to cycle on it?
English

@CllrScottArthur @Edinburgh_CC I've also seen an improvement which is great. The reporting website needs some work but it's clearly already having an impact.
However where does this stand? Tree cutting a council owned area, so is this a company hired by the council, is this acceptable? I'm genuinely unsure

Edinburgh is now one week into enforcing the pavement parking ban, and so many people have told me their street has changed for the better as a result.
Well done to the @Edinburgh_CC Parking and Media Teams for their awareness raising campaigns, and to the many motorists who are now parking more safely.
Not everyone, however, has abided by the the new rules. Fines issued so far:
➡️Pavement Parking = 141
➡️Parking Dropped Kerb Crossing = 10
➡️Double Parking = 19
These and other parking problems can be reported here: webforms.edinburgh.gov.uk/site/portal/re…

@CllrScottArthur It's a real shame that there has been no diversion route set for the cyclists. It's a well used route and just a few signs showing them how to join braid valley and the quiet route would have been really supportive.
English

I share the frustration people have about the impact the temporary closure of Braid Road is having on bus services.
The closure is to permit resurfacing of the junction and reconfigure it as was agreed by the community around 5 years ago - this will involve removing the plastic kerbs and installing permanent ones and a crossing. I'm not a huge fan of what's planned, but local residents and Cllrs support the project.
I did share details of this a few weeks ago on my Facebook page, but no date was fixed for the work at that point. I have now received this update from the Council:
==+==
With the kerbing, ducting, new street lighting and preparation required before installation of the new ‘Tiger’ crossings hardware and final carriageway surfacing, it’s likely Braid Road will remain closed into December to allow the contractor to expedite the programme and maintain safe working zones for site personnel. However, I’ve asked for an updated programme that I can share and will get back to you as soon as I have it.
I’m assured that the barriers have been pulled back in and should no longer have a narrowing effect through the Comiston Road junction.
==+==

English

@CllrScottArthur Will any of these options come with resurfacing the road? It's like a rollercoaster

Have Your Say - Greenbank to Meadows Quiet Connection
The Council have developed options in partnership with Councillors representing Morningside and Fairmilehead to address feedback from residents while retaining a safe route for walking, wheeling and cycling.
These options are now ready to be shared with the public. Local residents will have a say from Tuesday.
