@PunkyCovfefe What a gorgeous home, I really like the style.
Is that an extra apartment above the garage?
English

My husband found another lake home he wants to buy. The inside has very similar styling to our current home, which we love: traditional style with lots of light. There's an extra detached garage with a loft that can be a STR. He joked about going down tomorrow to put an offer in. I think it was a joke.

@indexnforgetit More than 650,000 people have more than $1M in a 401(k) account, which is rapidly increasing.
That person is out of touch.

Can’t believe 39,000 people follow this person and their terrible advice

401ks are stupid. "Wow, I can't wait to finally have 600 thousand dollars at age 65 to last me the next 20 years. I'm glad I spent 40 years as a slave."
English

@DanielaNaydeno6 @SparkingFIRENC @AcdntlyRetired Well said.
I wouldn’t buy a $250K car if my net worth was $10M.
English

@SparkingFIRENC @AcdntlyRetired I have in my retirement account way over 2m. I absolutely cannot afford 250k car.
And the time you have three four million in your brokerage, you will have other issues. Chronic pain, ailing parents, kids being in college.
Don't waste money on shit...

@unusual_whales Since he wants to tax based on net worth, what it’s really about is not believing in the private ownership of assets.
To him, everything you have belongs to government, they allow you to keep some of it, and the voters can redistribute it on a whim without due process of law.
English

@goaloa @BilyarskEnterer @AngelaBelcamino Jesus preached charity and giving, not theft and redistribution schemes enforced by the arm of government.

@BilyarskEnterer @AngelaBelcamino By your definition Jesus was a “commie”.

This is a cool Client story about Laura! 📖
Laura was from an upper middle class family. She graduated high school and in her third year of college.
She was working at a restaurant.
She started dating the Cook at the restaurant. He was from Mexico and had a third grade education. He spoke perfect English, but could not read.
During her fourth year of college, she got pregnant & they had a baby boy.
Her father was paying the rent for their one bedroom apartment. She stayed home with the baby and her husband worked at the restaurant.
Also, during that time she made her husband take online classes to learn basics like reading and math. So he did.
After about two years, her father said he couldn’t pay their rent anymore.
Long story short, 20 years later, Laura and Carlos are very well off!
Carlos started an office/hotel cleaning business after they had their second child & the business took OFF!
Laura helped with the bookings in the paperwork.
both kids are in college now. Carlos and Laura still own the business, but they don’t work at all. They have an office manager and with all the long-term contracts it pretty much runs itself.
They travel the world & enjoy life. They are still young!!
This is a story of how motivation can mean more than education.

@AriaVanblair @JohnProv1 I am sorry to hear that.

@PunkyCovfefe That’s honestly painful.
Great year it must have been, though.

U.S. Centi-millionaires ($100M–$1B): $4.1 Trillion

My boyfriend (35M) humiliated me in front of our friends this weekend.
And I can’t stop replaying it in my head.
We’ve been together 3 years.
Friends since high school.
So this isn’t someone new.
That’s what makes it worse.
We went camping with friends.
He had been drinking.
At one point, we were setting up a bug net.
Out of nowhere, he started taking it down.
I thought he was adjusting it, so I helped.
Then he snapped:
“You took it down, so we’re not using it.”
I was confused.
I said I thought he was the one taking it down.
He just said “whatever” and walked off.
That was the first moment I felt something was off.
Later, I was starting a fire to cook.
I asked a friend to grab a stick to move some logs.
Out of nowhere, my boyfriend jumps in and says:
“I’m no idiot, but here.”
Then starts aggressively messing with the fire.
And then he looked at me and said:
“This is the hot part of the fire.
This is the cooler part.
You fucking got that?”
In front of everyone.
I just stood there.
I didn’t even know what to say.
When my friend came back,
he started loudly telling everyone
that I talk to him like he’s an idiot.
So I told my friend exactly what he said to me.
Right in front of him.
He tried to defend himself.
I told him to stop.
He stormed off and went to sleep in the car.
The next day, he barely spoke to me.
Talked to everyone else. Not me.
When we got home, he said:
“Sorry I lost my temper.”
And then immediately said we should “talk”…
about how I’m mean to HIM.
That’s when it hit me.
This isn’t new.
He lashes out.
Minimizes it.
Then somehow turns it back on me.
Every time.
Now he’s saying he’ll stop drinking.
That he wants to fix things.
He’s said that before.
And I don’t know if I believe him anymore.
I feel humiliated.
Confused.
Exhausted.
Part of me wants to leave.
But part of me keeps thinking—
what if I’m overreacting?
Has anyone been in something like this?
Did it get better… or did you leave?

I have had a rough day at work.
My first client this morning came in crying because her husband filed for divorce yesterday & she has no idea WHY.
My second client came in sad that her elderly mom passed away last week & her dad is saying he wants to go too.
My third client hasn’t had her hair done in 6 months.
I said “where have you been?”
She said that her 20 year old daughter has a rare bone cancer. Out no where!
For 5 months, she has been taking care of her daughter. Chemo & surgeries & sadness that she had to drop out of college.
We should all be thankful for our family, health & happiness.
