@OtherChamelion The problem is, it's such a hindrance on communities, and the cost benefit analysis is not there for the people who live in the areas where data centers are popping up.

It’s about rhe race for artificial super intelligence. Whomever wins, wins for the next 500 years or so. It’s either US or China. It’s a dance with the devil, if you will, damned if you do, damned if you don’t. Hopefully we can move data centers to space. Nuclear powered and free cooling. I understand, they do need to find alternative methods to cool, besides massive water intake. Also, the small nuclear reactors are rather safe and a reliable source of power. It's a real concern in the situation all the way around. Responsible, environmentally sound and conscientious growth is preferable.

Dear Oregonians, While many candidates are conceding the election, I will patiently wait until EVERY LAST VOTE is counted in my House District 51 race. When candidates rush to surrender too soon, it sends a message to voters who took the time to fill out their ballots that their voices do not matter. We wonder why voter apathy and low turnout continue. Many people turned in their ballots on May 19th, 2026. If we do not like how long it takes to find out the results, perhaps we should consider conducting our elections differently. Elections in this state are not over until ALL votes are tallied. I will not give in to optics simply so everyone moves on and takes their eyes off the election. Sometimes I think that is the goal, unfortunately. My opponent is currently in the lead, but I will wait and see. Votes are still being counted as we speak, and I owe it to the people who volunteered, supported me with their time, energy, finances, and ultimately their vote. I will not let the media prematurely decide this race for you. No matter what happens once the race is certified, I will continue to be a force for positive change in this state, we have a lot to fix. 💥Just wanted to update everyone I just got off the phone with the Clackamas County elections office at 2:47 pm and they have approximately 24,000 ballots yet to count. I will wait until every single ballot is counted in honor of those who voted for me. #danafororegon

This is exactly why my partner and I in the law suit went to the Supreme Court of the United States for the 2022 election when I ran for commissioner and she ran for Metro. More election tomfoolery out of Clackamas County: Around 30k ballots have yet to be counted. This late counting also occurred in 2024. There’s also reports of registered Republicans being changed to NAV’s. There will be more results announced at 5pm today. The elections office have no idea where in the county the ballots are coming in from. In Clackamas County Commission position 5, @BenforOregon trails his challenger by less than 3k votes.
