We are looking to change this in Clackamas at the local level and to push back against radical and extreme policies that put children at risk of coming in contact with dangerous drug paraphernalia.

@WBbenny @benedtl OUT OF CONTEXT! That's part of Ed's statement. His honest assessment is that it won't pass, which by every objective measure is TRUE. I like that Ed isn't blowing smoke up your ass. He doesn't see IP37 as viable, but he DOES support the content. Ed supports voter integrity.

Here is part of the exact quote, anyone find where he asked anyone to not support IP37, find it, I will eat my words. Edtl continues to lie, why is undermining support for the most popular candidate in the race? That should be the question. "when it comes specifically to the vote by mail initiative petition, I've talked about this before on numerous occasions. Oregonians are accustomed to vote by mail. Whether we like that or not, it's the truth. And if you put this out there on a on a petition on a on a ballot, it will not pass because Oregonians are accustomed to vote by mail."

Republican gubernatorial candidate, Representative Ed Diehl, urging attendees from last night's debate not to support Oregon IP37. Oregon IP37 requires voter ID / proof of citizenship, clean voter rolls managed at the county level, vote by mail only by verified electors, hand-counted ballots at the precinct level, and eliminates automatic voter registration. We all know our elections aren't secure. Why would any elected official, much less a Republican, actively work against this effort? We are on our own. We must secure our elections before it's too late.

@benedtl @MysTery46787439 You are not being truthful. He said he supports much of what is in IP37, of not all of it. Ed expanded on other needed changes. He said he doesn't believe it will pass, and a lot of work needs to be done to change voters' minds. Polling overwhelmingly supports his assessment.

@davidmedinapdx Dude, this is petty. I am not voting for Ed, but he is a good, honest man. He is definitely not an ally to Democrats. I am pretty sure the Oregon Democrats loathe him. I know Tina Kotek does.

Here’s the truth: I’m a lifelong Oregonian, Ed is not. I’ve been in politics longer than Ed. I know my state better and I’ve been fighting on the ground for you all for years. Disappointed to see supporters of one of my opponents spread false information and I encourage people to go watch the full interview. You’ll see Rick Dancer, a close friend and supporter of Ed Diehl, consistently interrupting me and not giving me a fair interview. When I calmly called it out, he proceeds to curse me out, then gaslight me by saying I was the angry one. I’ll let you decide. The interview ended with mutual respect despite me not being given a fair interview and being cursed out. I was still able to get through to Rick and find common ground. That’s the kind of Governor Oregon needs.

Time to investigate and time for accountability! The public's money is being wasted with overt fraud, waste, and abuse. If even a single dollar of hard-earned taxpayer money is lost to fraud, it's one dollar too much!
