Locations & tunnel purpose: • NOLA Loop: New Orleans (passenger transport via vehicles) • Ravens Loop: Baltimore (passenger transport via vehicles) • University Hills Loop: Dallas (passenger transport via vehicles) The Boring Company will pay to build all three, pending due diligence and feasibility, as well as two additional tunnels: Hendersonville Utility Tunnel (Hendersonville, TN) and Morgan's Wonderland Tunnel (San Antonio, TX), if those last two are feasible and can get approved.

And there are plenty of subterranean structures in New Orleans and all over the world in similar (and worse) soils. Completely doable.
Feasible is another question.

Man, the comments are almost universally negative in the news posts about the new sections of riverfront park opening in the FQ/Marigny. It’s a fucking park. Mostly paid for by a donation. How is this a bad thing, or has hardened cynicism just become a security blanket now?

My company installs paint booths, powders booths, blast booths, ovens, etc. The revenue per employee lines up if he’s got strong crews and I could see the margins being there if they were only local or regional .
We work nationwide so I couldn’t touch those margins but if I only worked regionally, it would be in the ballpark.
There are so many specialty installers out there that command top rates like this. Conveyors, specialized doors, security checkpoints, CNC systems, etc.

What specialty trade do we think is doing $1mm in ebitda on $2.2mm in revenue, 45% margins, with only 7 employees (whopping $315k revenue per employee) all while working from home???
