@Daily_Chiefs_ I think what you said is spot on. Could see next draft being where they target WR hard if they decided to let rice walk. Rice put up nearly 600 yards in 5 games last yr and worthy was hurt the entire time. Add a run game and actual development in the WR room. Only time will tell

@NaithanJones @GandalfStaff Okay, Naithan. Since you seem to know exactly what to do, what are the chiefs supposed to do? They can’t afford top WR they weren’t going to waste a top 10 pick on Tyson who’s missed tons of time in college with injury. Rice and worthy are slot, so lemon isn’t an option.

I believe KC’s front office is making the same mistake with the WR room this year as they did with the RB room last year. The overconfidence in “their guys” is going to be the downfall of this team. They’re basically asking Rice, Worthy and Royals to take huge steps forward in their development which is incredibly unlikely. And even if they do, who are going to be your primary pass catchers in 2027? Rice I hope is not coming back and Kelce is certainly retiring so you now need to fill 2 holes in the passing game which cannot be filled with Worthy and Royals.

@Mason_King2 @willbrock1738 @ShowMeFB Don’t need worthy to play outside. Rashee can run routes, had nearly 600 yds in 5 games last yr. For the first time since reek left we have a real WR coach. Last guy had HS experience and the new guy was the pats dynasty coach. I see a huge step in that room. Plus run game helps

Not a single other plyer had more than 2. I would take 6 sacks by Jordan all day. Him, CJ, GK, with the DTs we got is great

@GandalfStaff Run game will stack the box and open up the zone. Worthy played the entire season hurt last year and rice put up almost 600 yards in 5 games. Royals is a ?. I don’t think they are too worried about WR until they decide on the future with rice

@GandalfStaff There is a reason since our WR core hasn’t developed since Tyreek left. We haven’t had a WR coach with actual NFL experience until literally this year. Last guy had HS coaching experience. We have the pats dynasty wr coach. This will make a huge difference.

We’ll be fine. If we took Bain and he turned out like FAU, and we have no secondary. We are even more screwed.

But he absolutely filled in a huge need. I don’t think Cam Jordan is the answer man The wr room is bad. Not a single man coverage beater

And then the next two drafts we target DE in rd 1/2? The WR room is gonna be way better this year with a real WR coach and run game to open up the pass

@chiefs_day @Conner_DKC What’s your point man? We lost 2 of our top CBs and filled the need. They obviously didn’t believe anyone was worth a 1st outside of Bailey and Reese at DE. WR is not big of a need until rice is gone. First time worthy or rice have had a real WR coach and a run game helps too

So because they had misses, the hits don't count? I'm honestly confused by this logic. The fact that Veach was able to find Sneed and Williams in the 4th, Watson in the 7th and trade a backup Center for Ward while winning 3 Super Bowls with all 3 playing legitimate roles on their defense during that run proves the point that he can find cornerback talent anywhere.

@chiefs_day @Conner_DKC Delane has longer arms, but not the point. We got the best CB in the draft whose plyr comp is Duffie. Essentially we got a player that will either fill/surpass what Duffie did for 9 mil a yr compared to 30 mil. Without trading Duffie we don’t get a good RB, QB, and dline depth.

Not necessarily who I would’ve taken at #6… But the Chiefs clearly view him as a PS2-type talent 👀 With this defensive staff, you have to trust he’ll reach his full potential 🔥

The Chiefs moving up from 40 tomorrow and grabbing edge TJ Parker at the start of the second makes too much sense. Reunite him with Clemson teammate Peter Woods on the defensive line. Do what the Rams did with Jared Verse and Braden Fiske.

Trading up for Mansoor Delane: D Taking Peter Woods at 29: A

@ShawnDixon58 @Farzin21 Neither have had a proper WR coach at the NFL level. Rice came back so late in the season and worthy battle injury the entire season. A legitimate run game will help tremendously as opposing defenses will have to play the run and stack the box. No team feared the run last year.

@Farzin21 I mean… at one point last year I was listening to kc media discussing the fact that worthy and rice were both number 1s. Maybe the org feels that way too. Not sure I do but I think rice being a knucklehead shouldn’t take away from his talent

Are we sure the Chiefs view WR as a need? I’m starting to think they’re higher on their receivers more than we realize.
