UPDATE ~ DETAILS: Heartless Youths Rob Boston Children’s Lemonade Stand at GUNPOINT in Broad Daylight
A pair of thugs resorted to an ultimate low this week in South Boston, targeting two innocent children in broad daylight who were trying to make money running a little business
As NBC 10 Boston reported, police responded to an armed robbery report at 157 West Ninth Street, near E Street, around 4:44 p.m. on Wednesday. The two male youths, however, had escaped before the cops showed up.
When police arrived on the scene, they were greeted by two innocent juveniles, who told them exactly what happened.
From @NBC10Boston Reports:
The victims, two juveniles, told officers they were operating their lemonade stand when the suspects made several passes by before approaching them and asking whether Apple Pay would be accepted as payment.
Before the victims could even respond, police say the suspects grabbed their box of money, and one of them displayed a black firearm in his waistband.
Both suspects ran away in the direction of Dorchester Street, police added. No arrests have been made.
Police have released multiple images and surveillance video of the two suspects walking near the lemonade stand.

Police revealed that the two suspects are 11 and 14 years old, respectively. The two victims are siblings, ages 11 and 12.
Kids robbing kids.
The victims’ mother, Jennifer Byrne, detailed the terror her children felt.
“My daughter called me. I’m at work. She was in hysterics, crying, saying, ‘Somebody put a gun to us and took all of our money,'” she told NBC 10 Boston. “They noticed two kids with masks over their faces across the street.”
“They kept coming back and forth.”
Byrne added that the two suspects approached her children and demanded to know whether they accepted Apple Pay. Then they lifted their shirts and flashed a gun.
“My daughter said when they said ‘We’re taking it all,’ she put her arms up in the air and said, ‘Take it. Just take it,’ Byrne explained.
All told, $50 was stolen from Byrne’s children.
Boston Police are urging anyone with information to call the detectives at 617-343-4742 or submit a tip anonymously at 1-800-494-TIPS.

Robbed at gunpoint while selling lemonade. New video shows the two suspects police say targeted a children's lemonade stand in South Boston, stealing a cash box before one suspect flashed a firearm at the children. It's the kind of crime most people associate with businesses or convenience stores, not two kids trying to make money at a neighborhood lemonade stand. Police are asking for the public's help identifying those involved.
