@ocxg1958 @Clippers_steve Was in town and went to NLDS Game 2 on spontaneous day-of planning. Drove and bought a parking pass. Saw some guys parking at Echo Park and walking—about 20 minutes later they passed me while I sat at a standstill waiting to get in the lot.

@mattlargey I came within seconds of watching my 12 year old die crossing N Hills after after-school activity (so no crossing guard) when a car came plowing down N Hills at about 50 mph (as many do). So I hate *that* bike lane, which no one in the community asked for.

@mattlargey I like bike lanes but CoA puts them in with 0 community input. The bike lane on N. Hills by Murchison MS now requires kids who get picked up (more of them than kids who bike) to cross busy street where previously they could get picked up on N side of N Hills. 1/2

@BeschlossDC @RexChapman When caviar was cheaper than chicken broth! (The caviar is priced in-line with other menu items as if not a premium product, but also was there a chicken shortage? The chicken items are much more expensive than almost anything else.)

Please let's put this ominous Dresden/Hamburg etc analogy to bed. Allied bombing actually had negative military impact. The tens of thousands of civilian deaths strengthened German resolve to fight on. It was a moral blot that did nothing to hasten the end of the war. 1.

@edwards21228 I don’t agree that S names always get an “e,”, not sure what the precise rule is but I usually know it based on what you’d say aloud. So Joneses and Williamses but not Peterses and Walterses (maybe the “r” triggers the exception, but you also wouldn’t say “the Isaacses”).
