I am begging someone, anyone to clean up the disability fraud in the VA. This guy was a Navy reservist who went to school for the Government and got out after 2 years with disability benefits for anxiety and depression. This has to end.

You’re assuming causation and certainty from a few variables. A temporary rise (even from tariffs or oil) doesn’t equal a sustained inflation trend. CPI is broad and driven by many components, and one off shocks don’t necessarily feed into persistent inflation or policy changes. My point is about trend vs short term noise, not denying volatility

Inflation now at 1.65% this morning. Although inflation is still below the Fed’s target of 2%, the real-time inflation metric has nearly doubled in just a matter of weeks. As I have been saying, the direction of travel is more important than the exact number.

The real-time PCE jumped significantly in March 2026: - Trulation US PCE today: 2.37% Y/Y - Truflation US Core PCE today: 2.38% Y/Y We obtain an alternative PCE by mapping real transaction data to the BEA's weighting and PCE index categories. Official PCE, especially core PCE, is often called the Fed's favorite gauge of inflation, and it's been particularly slow to decline. Now, our PCE is also showing signs of accelerating inflation, mainly related to oil and shipping costs. While the core PCE, which has been running higher than our other indexes most of the year, started edging down, perhaps suggesting that more sticky components like housing are cooling while volatile components are heating up.
