Across various segments of our country, public participation has revealed a clear consensus. Religious institutions have opposed the bill. Manufacturers and businesses of all sizes have voiced their disapproval. International financiers have raised concerns about the sustainability of the proposed taxes. The general public has warned the government against implementing these punitive taxes. Economists and other analysts have expressed skepticism about the projected impact of these excessive taxes. After reviewing the data, I WILL OPPOSE this bill, as I did last year, because Kenyans have had enough of burdensome taxes. The old narrative of "MTU WETU” is quickly fading among many Kenyans because people have realized that suffering does not choose tribe or ethnicity. Challenges are shared by ordinary citizens regardless of where they come from. Today in Bomet, residents reportedly stopped the convoy and requested @RealMatiangi to address them before proceeding with his journey to Nairobi and truly WANTAM remains constant.

Yesterday evening, I joined the family of Senator Richard Onyonka at their home in Nyamataro to console them during this difficult moment. We stand with you, Senator, as you prepare to lay Mama to rest today. May the Almighty Lord grant you strength, peace, and comfort, because nothing surpasses the pain of losing a mother. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your entire family.

Yesterday, we were privileged to join our friend Senator Richard Onyonka during the fundraising for his beloved mother’s funeral at All Saints Cathedral. We continue to pray for God’s comfort, strength, and peace upon you and your family, Senator, during this difficult moment. May Mama's soul rest in eternal peace.

Where are we heading as a nation if the sectors that matter most continue struggling? @WilliamsRuto you may joke with other sectors of the economy, but never education and healthcare. Today, the majority of Kenyan families cannot comfortably afford school fees, while many citizens are losing hope in a health system that is no longer working effectively for ordinary wananchi. Remember that ,these are the sectors that shape human capital, create opportunity and protect lives. A government that invests seriously in education and health invests directly in the future of its people and the stability of the nation.

The pressure under which we watch these @Arsenal games is so draining. But in the end as long as we match on to the League TITLE it will be worth it. Congrats G.O.O.N.E.R.S!! LET IT ALL WORK OUT!!

In the condolence period with Senator Richard Onyonka, I got an opportunity to remind our people that the Kenya we want is one where opportunity is earned, not inherited or brokered. Employment should be based on skill and merit not connections or godfathers so that both the rich and the poor stand on equal ground. It's time Kenyans we choose leaders who serve ,not just politicians who only seek office.

This afternoon, I joined H.E. @RealMatiangi and fellow leaders at Senator Onyonka's residence in Nairobi following the loss of his beloved mother, Mama Teresia. On behalf of the people of Bomachoge Borabu Constituency, I extend sincere condolences to the family and pray for God’s comfort during this difficult time. Rest in peace Mama Teresia.
