The video turned out to be a mini-vlog + a small bit of advice for app builders on X (turn on audio on video btw) Anyways if you dont watch this till the end ill personally come to your house and poop in your toilet (will smell like shit)

Was spying some other apps right now and noticed that… Aesty doesnt even have a hard paywall! This got me thinking, that i might ditch the hard paywall also. Ill talk about it more in a video soon.

@athcanft ASO only works if you're in an underserved niche if there's 500 apps with same keywords just farm downloads & reviews that'll get you higher in the algorithm keywords etc are only one signal apples algo uses

alright I'm removing the freeplan from SubtitlesFast Now that I've seen the power of not having a free plan in RankGoat I went back to my old project to remove the "charity plan" in SF It still gets about 10 new user signups a day, even if 1 converts every day, I will double the MRR in a few days.

tldr: for new apps: hard paywall + no trial your new app likely isn't too useful yet and that's normal. you'll need some product iterations to get to a point where your users can't achieve their outcome without it. for proven apps where tons of users told you the app is amazing: soft paywall + (freemium and/or trial)

Everyone starts by revenue-maxxing immediately, but i believe that is a false way to start Here’s how I started: 1. Build one good feature 2. Charge a low price for it 3. Increase prices as demand goes up 4. Keep the old subscriber prices the same 5. (Optional) upsell the old subscribers on other features
