The idea of this style of poetry is straight up to be shareable on social media - the same qualities which make it bite-sized and palatable for the modern attention span make it very easy to pervert and reuse.

@isobelroe Sadly, X insists that I be verified to DM you. When rent is so high, paying what's left of Twitter for the privilege of reaching out seems ridiculous. Blue Mountains here, willing to talk. Had a hell of a time finding a rental recently, and the rent is still quite dear.

@TracyWesterman Indigenous psychologists, as of September 2021, comprise significantly under 1% of practicing psychologists in Australia. Imagine having enough Indigenous psychologists in Australia to actually serve the needs of the community. That'd rattle some cages too, on all sides.

The number of predictable tweets about how this should be merit based. The fact not one Indigenous person with a psych degree has EVER sat on the APS board let alone been APS President-yet no alarm bells ringing there. Ppl seem very comfortable with this idea that non Indigenous psychs are so much more talented; plus magically have the critical cultural skills necessary to ensure better uptake of psych services into Aboriginal communities who continue to make up most of the critical psych needs.. we compete everyday with non Indigenous psychs & more than hold our own thanks

Well that is disappointing. Honda PR called and said that directly due to the negativity of the post below, they're collecting the car early. It's just gone. I don't think I was overly harsh, unreasonable or aggressive about the issues I had with the car in this post, and just reported what I found. Positive reporting only it would seem!

Hmmm this isn’t going well so far. 1.5hr journey this morning and I’m about ready to drive this thing into a lake and walk away. Issues: 1. I’ve never driven a car, EV or ICE with so little grip. Pulling away from any junction, light throttle in Comfort and the wheels spin up. Pulled out to overtake someone at 35 and the outside wheel span. WTF. 2. The speed limit sign reading tech is consistently wrong, telling me I’m in a 20 when it’s a 30. Which isn’t a huge problem, I’m used to looking at signs myself, but…. 3. Whenever you stray 1mph over the speed limit that it thinks is set, it bongs at you. BONG BONG BONG. Again, people will say “don’t speed then” in a nasal voice. I agree, but… 4. Not only does it think it’s in a different speed limit zone, the Speedo reads 3-4mph over. So unless you consistently drive at 3-4mph UNDER what IT thinks the speed limit is, it bongs at you. 5. Going through the Rotherhithe tunnel this morning it decided to turn off my podcast and put a nice Alarm ALARM sign on the screen, with no other information. 6. Why are the icons so bloody large on the CarPlay screen? Same on the Type-R last week. 7. In stop start traffic, where EVs are supposed to excel, it was averaging 2.9miles/kWh. That is appalling.

The Rapid Decline of Aussie Universal Healthcare I find it kind of crazy how little attention is being paid by policymakers to the collapse of bulk billing for the majority of Australians. We pushed back and defeated a $5 co-pay and now $40-50 out of pocket is normal in many places. The working poor who dont qualify for a concession card are hardest hit. Meanwhile, I talk to nurses at major public hospitals and I'm told ER's increasingly have patients whose ailments would be better addressed by a GP. Our healthcare system was once a point of profound pride for Aussies, something we could point to and say "We do this really well". But that is fading as other priorities catch the eye of policymakers. Much like the rental crisis, this issue goes inadaquately addressed and millions of Australians are paying for it, figuratively and increasingly literally.
