As the living head of the British Crown that has governed America through Admiralty Law, the King carries the essential authority to lawfully sign off on the end of that system, the return of America’s sovereignty, and the shift back to the law of the land. Together, their appearances at the highest levels of governance create a visible, ceremonial confirmation that the corporate maritime system is being brought to its lawful end in America, at its centers of power within the country. It appears that property rights over land that is home to approximately 2 million Canadians is being given to a Band with fewer than 2,000 members.  We don't know if the Musqueam Nation is being given complete ownership, or whether they are being given shared ownership between the Musqueam Nation and owners in fee simple.  The Government of Canada is acting on behalf of the King in implementing UNDRIP.  We know this because our constitution (the group of U.K. Parliament statutes governing Canada that we call our "constitution") vests all executive power in the King who then delegates part of this power to the Government.  This is why all government MPs swear allegiance to the King.  We also know this because it is the King that has allodial ownership of Canada. The King cannot be giving property rights to Indigenous Peoples over land the King does not own.  The King is in the process of giving property rights over the land we think we own to others.  This is happening because the King has allodial ownership of our land. This analysis is based on our current legal structure which we inherited from the United Kingdom.  It is a different conversation as to whether there was a valid legal basis for the British Crown to assume allodial ownership over Canada in the first place.

It is important for people to understand that the King does own our land and that surprising things are currently happening because of this. We use the term "ownership" to describe who controls something.  For example, if I rent a house the only control I have is the right to quiet possession of the house for as long as I pay the rent.  I cannot make changes to the house like moving a wall without the permission of my landlord who is superior to me in ownership.  It is the superior landlord who gets to decide if a wall can be moved because the superior landlord has ownership (i.e. control over whether a wall can be moved). All property owners are in Canada have a superior landlord.  The King is our superior landlord because the King has allodial ownership of all of the land in Canada. Allodial ownership is ownership of land free from a superior landlord. The King owns your land and is your superior landlord. Even when you pay off your mortgage, you do not own your land. What you hold is called a fee simple, which is a grant from the King permitting you to use the land without restriction. The King remains the allodial owner. The King remains your superior landlord. That is why the King can take your land, such as through expropriation. That is why the King can put restrictions on your land. That is why the King can grant to others property rights to land you think you own, but do not really own. Understanding that our King has allodial ownership of our land has never been more important.  The King is in the process of either taking away our ownership, or granting concurrent ownership over our land to Indigenous Peoples.  In 2021, Parliament passed the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act, S.C. 2021, c. 14. This Act commits the Government of Canada to fully implement the UNDRIP treaty.   In other words, this Act legally binds the Government of Canada to transfer ownership of all parts of Canada traditionally used or occupied by Indigenous Peoples to Indigenous Peoples. This is most, or all, of populated Canada.  Article 26 of the UNDRIP treaty reads: Article 26 1. Indigenous peoples have the right to the lands, territories and resources which they have traditionally owned, occupied or otherwise used or acquired. 2. Indigenous peoples have the right to own, use, develop and control the lands, territories and resources that they possess by reason of traditional ownership or other traditional occupation or use, as well as those which they have otherwise acquired. 3. States shall give legal recognition and protection to these lands, territories and resources. Such recognition shall be conducted with due respect to the customs, traditions and land tenure systems of the indigenous peoples concerned. An important point to recognize is that UNDRIP is not limited to unceded land.  Canada's legal obligation is to transfer ownership, use and development, of all land that was traditionally owned, occupied or otherwise used by Indigenous Peoples.  This applies to all land, whether ceded by treaty, or not ceded by treaty.  This applies to literally all of populated Canada.  As UNDRIP is implemented, it is unclear whether Canadians who think they own land will lose total ownership, or whether concurrent ownership with Indigenous Peoples will be imposed.  If Indigenous Peoples are granted concurrent ownership over land you think you own, as has recently occurred with the Cowichan Tribes v. Canada (Attorney General) Court decision in B.C., you may find yourself applying to an Indigenous People's Band for permission to move a wall in your house.  This will be because the Band could be a superior landlord to you.  We see UNDRIP in action with the recent transfer in land ownership in the Vancouver metro area, to the Musqueam Nation. The federal government has not released the terms of the agreement they made with the Musqueam Nation...
