If you are taking D3/K2, be certain to take it, NOT just with water, but must have some type of “good fat” with it. Avocados, pistachios, walnuts, macadamia nuts, olive oil, MCT oil, etc. D3 also called the “sunshine vitamin” could result in some degree of insomnia if taken too late in the day. Take in the morning. Denwalker.com

Kale salads / most raw veg are brutal on digestion. They sit in your guts, ferment, feed bacteria producing endotoxin and leave you bloated and inflamed. But salads made from vegetables that are technically fruits (cucumber, tomato, bell pepper) are great, especially in summer. We made a spicy Asian cucumber salad and it was elite. Used macadamia oil instead of sesame oil. Macadamias are unusually low in PUFA compared with most nuts and the same goes for macadamia oil and butter. If you’re going to have nuts, nut butter or nut oil, macadamia is the move. Tastes great too Used coconut aminos instead of soy sauce too, incredible substitute

If you fancy nuts, opt for macadamias. They contain only 1.5% PUFA (and are high in saturated fat), in contrast to other nuts which have more than 20% PUFA, with walnuts being one of the highest at over 47%. Macadamia oil is also good.

@MidwesternDoc 100% agree, some high smoke point oils like avocado oil are surprisingly high in omega 6. Coconut oil, tallow, ghee, macadamia oil are better

Coconut oil has the lowest omega-6 content of any cooking oil and a high smoke point for frying. It can replace seed oils in 50-60% of processed foods. Here I reveal why coconuts are one of the most underrated health foods and how to use them. midwesterndoctor.com/p/the-incredib…

Mark Zuckerberg reveals he's feeding his cows beer and macadamia nuts “On the ranch, one of my projects is I'm trying to create the highest quality beef in the world” “It's very low stakes, I’m not selling it but I'm very into the genetics of the cattle. We're trying to figure out how do you make it so that you basically can deliver the highest density diet to them” “We started growing macadamia trees because that kind of nut is extremely dense and they will eat a lot so they will put on weight and become fat quicker and become delicious” “The macadamia nuts have a lot of oil so you need to actually roast that. So now we need to design this whole process to roast the nuts so that way you can give them to the cows” “You want them to eat more. So then it's like how do you get them to eat more? Well it turns out alcohol is great for that because alcohol induces appetite” “That's actually why very high-end beef, they're fed beer. But okay, what's the right balance of beer versus water? I don't know. Let's let them choose. They get either as much cold beer as they want or as much room temperature water” “So now we're brewing all this beer and we're putting it out”

@BasedTorba Macadamia nuts are unusual among nuts because they're higher in monounsaturated fat and lower in carbohydrates and omega-6 polyunsaturated fat than most other common nuts. Healthwise they are one of the better nuts a person can eat.

@drmarkhyman Hi Mark, I find it impossible to get fresh macadamia nuts. Mauna Loa used to put them up in vacuum packed. Bring back the vacuum packed macadamia nuts!

My morning routine before I work out is non-negotiable. Before I touch a weight or step on the mat, I do the same thing every single morning: at least 16oz of water with a hydrogen tablet (a powerful antioxidant that helps neutralize free radicals first thing in the morning) a handful of macadamia nuts, and my supplements. When you wake up, you’re already dehydrated. You’ve just gone 7-8 hours without water, and your cells are depleted of the minerals they need to actually function. Drinking plain water sometimes isn’t enough. With sodium, magnesium, and potassium, water can fully cross the cell membrane and get inside where it’s needed. That’s intracellular hydration — and it’s the difference between feeling sharp and feeling foggy, between a strong workout and a sluggish one. The macadamia nuts give me the protein and healthy fats I need to stabilize blood sugar before I move. And my supplements (tailored specifically to my body and what it needs) work significantly better when I’m properly hydrated. By the time I’m ready to train, my body is actually primed to perform! Your morning routine is either working for you or against you. Make hydration the first thing you do, and make sure it counts. 🙂

Your skin produces less Omega-7 every year after 25. Omega-7 (palmitoleic acid) is linked to a stronger skin barrier, skin elasticity and natural collagen production. It’s rare in food. The best 2 sources are macadamia oil and sea buckthorn berries.

If you're chronically inflamed, look at the fats you're eating. Seed oils flood your body with omega-6 linoleic acid. Your cells turn that into arachidonic acid. Arachidonic acid drives inflammation. I have seen thousands of people remove seed oils and watch their CRP drop, their joint pain improve, their skin clear up, and their energy come back. Your mitochondria do not run well on rancid polyunsaturated fats. They run on stable fats: grass-fed butter, ghee, MCT oil, and small amounts of extra virgin olive oil. Stop waiting for permission. Eliminate seed oils for 30 days. Test your inflammatory markers before and after. Track how you feel. Then decide what the data means for your body.
