The event has always been special to me. The route will take me past my childhood home. At that point of the day (if I make it that far) I will take a moment to remember how lucky I was to have a stable place with a supportive family when I was younger. (4/4)

It's not my first time doing 'the run', but each year it gets harder as I get older and fatter. Here is me last year at mile 10. There are a lovely group of people who hand out free beer to the runners as they go past. Not sure it helped but it was nice anyway. (3/4)

Taken a day off today to go and watch my son make his debut at @YorkshireCCC's Headingly in the regional schools Yr 3/4 finals. Very proud of him but also slightly annoyed he has already managed to surpassed my entire sporting achievements by the age of 8.

Really enjoyed my visit this morning to meeting with residents of @theJRHT Bedford Court in Leeds.
