🤮 Big Duane the Green Transvestite Could’ve put a skirt on 🤣

To the constituents of Edinburgh Central....... If this idiot was the answer, just how fucking stupid was the question?

Renovation update: Stinky paint from Farrow and Ball and Little Knights, both of which market themselves as "minimal VOC". 🧵 I held off from writing this post for some time, because I was very ill and also I don't like leaving bad reviews. However, our bedroom was gut renovated and painted mid-January, with the very expensive and allegedly minimal VOC F&B paint (in Dead Flat finish), and by mid-April, the horrible, sickly, asthma-inducing smell did not dissipate. I had tried sleeping in the room for a week, back in February, and I got very sick, with worsening asthma, headaches and generally feeling unwell. I was already ill, but the paint made it worse at a time when I needed a clean and healthy environment. We spent a lot on that room, including air conditioning, which I will need to make it through the summer. So, I went in search of no VOC paint, and came across Little Knights, who market themselves as "zero odour" and have a lot of great reviews. So, over the weekend, my husband repainted the entire bedroom, woodwork and all, according to instructions. I tried to paint too, but got sick within half an hour, from paint smell. We figured perhaps it's just wet paint, so husband persevered and I waited. Well, it's been 2 days now, paint is fully dry, and the room stinks of smelly socks. The smell in the room is quite overwhelming when windows are closed, despite the air purifier running constantly. Only when all the windows and doors are open, is being in the room bearable. So, I phoned Little Knigthts this morning, and found myself aggressivelly gaslit, how it's "impossible" that there is a smell because they are subject to marketing standards (?!). By the end of the conversation, the man who spoke over me the entire time conceded that there may be a smell, "nothing is smell-free you know" he carried on disrespectfully, and started telling me how "all smells will eventually dissipate". Digging through 1 star reviews on Trustpilot, I found several other reviews saying that paint definitely smells, and even after 3 weeks the odour is still there. I wonder if people are so saturated in artificial scents these days that they genuinely can't smell things like this. I can, and it is making me sick. We spent thousands on the renovation and paint combined, and are still unable to sleep in our bedroom. Everyone seems to be lying about being smell and VOC free, and getting away with it. I'm looking at perhaps trying Lakeland 0 VOC paint, but who knows when I'll be able to repaint it, because my busy GP husband is beyond exhausted now. Maybe it will need a replacement of backing paper on the walls and another £1000 to the decorator. Does anyone know of a reliably non-smelly paint? I'm at a point where I don't trust anyone on this anymore. F&B paint on the left, Little Knights on the right.
