A middle-class political strategist, Caesar conquered France, led his loving Legions to victory in a CIVIL WAR, and bedded Cleopatra, only to be undone by hubris: stabbed in the Senate by his own friends for appointing himself Dictator for Life and threatening the Republic. But he sure had quite a run.
