JUST IN: Brentwood Police say 'Reacher' star Alan Ritchson acted in self-defense, say no charges will be filed. The development comes as new footage appears to show Ritchson's neighbor blocking the road while he was on his motorcycle. "After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be pursued," said the Brentwood Police Department. "Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be in self-defense." "Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges." The case has been closed.

They are now threatening Rutendo Matinyarare, saying he insulted President Mnangagwa just for saying his performance has been average and does not deserve a term extension to 2030. Rutendo responded by asking how people can fairly judge the President’s performance if: 1. Under Robert Mugabe, in his first 20 years in office, he built 9,000 km of new paved roads from the 10,000 km left by Ian Smith. 2. Currently, President Mnangagwa has, in the last 9 years, paved and rebuilt 80% of the existing 584 km of the Harare–Beitbridge road, and it is still not finished. 3. He has also been refurbishing and extending 45 km of the Mazowe Road. I would say that the 45km are entirely new. 4. He has also built about 90 km of road in and around Mount Hampden and has been refurbishing about 300 km in cities and Victoria Falls road. 5. This means that, in 9 years, the President has refurbished and built about 1,200 km (6.3%) of roads out of the 19,000 km of paved roads in Zimbabwe, which are in desperate disrepair. 6. The money required to fix all Zimbabwean roads, at an average of about $1 million per kilometre, is approximately $17.4 billion. Where will it come from? Is the President’s performance on roads and raising money to fix them: excellent, good, average, bad, or poor? How many more roads can he fix between now and 2030 at the current pace of 130km per year and the perpetual electioneering for 2030 that has stopped all real work? Tomorrow we will look at healthcare, water, sanitation, electricity and other indicators.

There is no evidence that the incident was intentional - it resulted purely from human error - but due to the severity, the staff member responsible for the incident has been dismissed. This is not who we are and this incident falls far short of the standards we uphold. As an organisation entrusted with protecting lives and communities, we are devastated that a careless act by one of our own has caused harm to someone. CAP deploys hundreds of officers in vehicles every day, who drive millions of kilometers a year to keep communities all over Johannesburg safe. We have multiple procedures in place to ensure the safety of our people, our external stakeholders, and any member of the public we encounter. Following this occurrence, we are conducting a thorough review of all our operational protocols and driver conduct policies to ensure that additional lessons are learnt and that any additional safeguards possible are implemented to prevent an incident of this nature from ever happening again. We deeply regret this incident and remain committed to crime prevention and protecting our communities.

Moses Moody, who exited last night’s win at Dallas due to a left knee injury with 58.5 seconds remaining in overtime, underwent an MRI today. The MRI confirmed a torn left patellar tendon. Moses will undergo surgery later this week and will miss the remainder of the 2025-26 season.
