Fair point, if you're not into nukes or military history, these might fly under the radar compared to Hiroshima. But Palomares and Thule weren't obscure: both made global headlines, sparked massive searches and cleanups, caused diplomatic headaches (especially Thule for Denmark's no-nukes policy), and directly led to scaling back US airborne alert missions. My point more stems from the fact that it is not more well known in other countries than the U.S., it is equally well known

@deathbian @philbrick_w It is not like it is taught everywhere but if you like to read about nuclear weapons and/or military history chances are good that you know about these incidents. Otherwise people will not know about facts like this, which is true in all countries
