@ProfJDChalmers Very nice work! Azurocidin-1 also elevated in some patients with asthma. I wonder if DPP1 inhibitors might be effective in airways disease, if we can appropriately select patients?

@DHSCgovuk @wesstreeting Resident doctor strikes have highlighted all sorts of issues. Not least the inefficient process to sign up to the bank to locum. Why do occupational health checks have to be in person? And why can’t in person ID checks be at the nearest hospital HR? 1/

@TheBMA @BMAResidents I’m very supportive of our resident doctors and have covered their strike action every time I could What’s the logic of doing this immediately after 4 day bank holiday weekend and with <2 weeks notice? I fear it will be harder to cover and you will get more derogation requests

Resident doctors have been left with no choice but to strike. Weeks of negotiations with the Government have failed to deliver enough progress on pay, with the goalposts being moved at the last minute. We have called six days of industrial action to make the Government listen, stop the game playing, and come back with an offer that delivers fairly on both jobs and pay.

@ModernMilkMan you’ve left your bike blocking the entirety of where the curb dips (double yellow for a reason), making it quite hard to cross the road with small kids on scooters - and it’s a bit of a tricky crossing as it is. Please be more careful next time.
