@CardPurchaser there’s chatter of what could happen to @PSAcard & @collectors w/ some speculating GME could acquire & no way @ $4-$5BN w/ PSA a golden goose. Could talk all day about this. Back of envelope, so caveat, fixes may be needed, but high-level TLDR $8-$10BN. @gemrate

@CardPurchaser I mean, that’s crazy right. Is it the breakers buying up everything or are collectors really just that blind and dumb.

@baseball_cards @Blake5874 @CardPurchaser @eBay Nope! Just confirmed with eBay right now live actually and I received payment this morning in my bank account. The rep I spoke with is obviously not who the reviewer is, but they said they didn’t know what the issue was. It was a 1-of-1 Superfractor PSA 10 slab.

@CardPurchaser pop. that lack self-control, but those “users” spend/consume disproportionately & are addicted. Look at what has happened in Australia and England after sports gambling legalization. Credit scores have decreased & bankruptcies have increased. This will continue in the U.S. (2/2)

@CardPurchaser This is an April Fool’s day joke right? This is just taking advantage of people who have no business buying cards. Credit card reward programs in general, only benefit the “best” customers. Cards, gambling, drugs - all these vices generally affect a small(er) % of the (1/2)

FYI never buy from this eBay seller “em-433558” - sells cards, digital & real, but never sends anything. The digital card, there was no token exchange, nothing. Just empty envelope. Person is literally selling an image they don’t even own. @AskeBay this is fraud @CardPurchaser

@kobefn @WGSCARDS @BrianTJack @PSAcard Not true. I’ve done an analysis on my Instagram page, but to be a monopoly, you don’t have to control 100% of a market; even 51% is sufficient, depending on other variables. PSA, with BGS and SGC, owns over 95%+ of the card grading market. Fanatics is a whole other issue itself.

@WGSCARDS @BrianTJack @PSAcard Hate to be the bad news guy but psa/collection does not have a monopoly there are other grading companies like tag out there and also they are not stopping anyone from opening up their own grading service. 80's topps was monopoly they stop companies from getting in sports card.

Just a few moments ago I received a call back from Congressman @BrianTJack office regarding an email I sent a few months back concerning the @PSAcard monopoly. They assured me the issue with increases in grading fees with no advance notice was on their radar and they have been actively working on the concerns internally. I also explained what took place with raising the fees overnight with no notice and the pending letter to the @federaltra83775 already in progress. We have been really shafted as shops and collectors its time we keep the heat on and make a difference in the Hobby @CardPurchaser

@AllRise1127 @CardPurchaser Maye and Pats played no one in the postseason - doesn’t matter what Pats fan says about regular season. Maye is young so he’ll be back with a coach like Vrabel, but he was missing easy throws. LAC was missing top two OL, HOU missing top WR, DEN missing a starting QB.

@CardPurchaser They beat a LAC team w/o 2 starting OL, a HOU team w/o top WR, a DEN team w/o starting QB. Whatever New England fans want to say, is wrong - they didn’t beat anyone. Whether Pats can win will depend on Maye’s play leveling up to a plane higher than the Hawks Def; would say no.

I’m in the market to buy a very nice Shohei slab for my collection/investment. Which cards should I be focusing on? I currently own his pitching and batting chrome PSA 10 rookies, looking for something more sought after/rare. @CardPurchaser

@WaxMetrix Does anyone who actually can do the type of research you do (thank you!) have any idea how many of these “Lunar” boxes have been found? Can they be weighed, as in, are they heavier than “non-Lunar” boxes? Asking cause then that means breakers/resellers would know? @CardPurchaser

2025 Topps Cosmic Chrome- updated With all the new information that has come to light since release, I figured I'd quickly redo my Cosmic Chrome breakdown a purge all the bad data rather than continue to patchwork changes into the mix. This should all be current as of today, 12/18. 2025 Cosmic Chrome Total Production Hobby- 68,235 boxes (8,529 cases) Lunar Boxes- 147 Total Cards: 2025 Cosmic Chrome- 5,470,560 2024 Cosmic Chrome- 4,320,000 YOY = +26.6% Base cards per player: 20,886 Hit Frequencies (Hobby) Autos- 0.36 per box (≈1 auto per 2.81 boxes) Avg autos per case- 2.85 (Apparently Topps sell sheet data states 4 autos/case, but I wonder if they inadvertently based that on last year's case size of 12 boxes. there are 8 boxes per case this year and I just don't see them falling 1:2 boxes) Parallels per box- 5.47 Inserts per box- 13.94 Numbered cards per box- 2.22 The wildly popular Planetary Pursuit inserts fall approximately 1 per 3.64 boxes, so approx 2.2 per case. Combining these with the other rare inserts-Planetarium, Supernova, Stella Nova, and Starfractor- yields a rare insert rate of 1 per 1.41 boxes. Value Landscape (Based on current Blowout price of $525/box) $ per card: $3.28 $ per pack: $26.25 $ per parallel: $95.98 $ per auto: $1,458.33 $ per numbered card: $236.49 $ per rare insert: $740.25 Just like 2024, @Topps slipped ultra-elusive Lunar Boxes into Cosmic Chrome. Last year we had 100. For 2025, we get 147 of them (1 per 58 cases), with each pack containing a Lunar Eclipse /10 parallel, though that particular parallel is not listed on the odds sheet. They have a really cool blood red refractor finish to them. If you’re lucky enough to hit one of these unicorn boxes, keep in mind that sealed Lunar Packs from 2024 have sold for $250–$500 each… and there are 20 packs per box. Pretty decent little hit for 147 lucky collectors. One word of caution: I’d be careful buying sealed hobby from eBay. Assuming Lunar Eclipse cards are a bit thicker than standard Cosmic Chromes, any seller weighing boxes will instantly know what they’ve got. Not saying every seller is shady, but your odds when buying loose wax from the wild west are definitely south of 0.215%. Print Runs: Unnumbered Parallels Refractor- ~685 Nucleus- ~460 White Hole Refractor- ~115 Constellation Variation (25-card CL)- ~70 Numbered Parallels are somewhat atypical: Aqua Equinox /199 Purple Nebula /150 Blue Moon /99 Green Space Dust /75 Gold Interstellar /50 Orange Galactic /25 Black Eclipse /10 Red Flare /5 Superfractor /1 Inserts Note: Star clusters (15 card checklist) & Extraterrestrial Talent (35 card checklist) have some issues. Their odds do not agree with their checklists. Both are common inserts, but for some reason their odds are based on 25 card checklists. Therefore, print runs based on the given odds should be ~6,840 copies ea. But Star Clusters could be a bit more & ETs could be a bit less in reality. Also, Topps has odds for Stella Nova listed at 1:20 pks, or 1 per box. That is definitely not accurate. I'm adjusting that to be 1:200, or 1 per case, which looks to be more accurate. Light Speed (25 card CL)- ~6,840 each Ultraviolet Beam (25 card CL)- ~6,840 each Launched Into Orbit (50 card CL)- ~1,370 each Stars in the Night (25 card CL)- ~2,735 each Stella Nova (25 card CL)- ~280 each Planetarium (25 card CL)- ~170 each Supernova (25 card CL)- ~100 each Starfractor (100 card CL)- ~85 each Planetary Pursuit (all 10-card CLs) Sun- 1,140 Mercury- 285 Venus- 190 Earth- 114 Mars- 81 Jupiter- 28 Saturn- 18 Uranus- 11 Neptune- 7 Pluto- 5 Autos Cosmic Chrome Autos (56 card CL)- ~150 each Extraterrestrial Talent Autos (18 card CL)- ~100 each Launched Into Orbit Autos (44 card CL)- ~53 each Stella Nova Autos (22 card CL)- ~56 each @CardPurchaser #thehobby #SlabSquatchAnalytics #2025ToppsCosmicChrome
