To lift one's eyes to the velvet canopy of a starry night and not feel the unmistakable hand of a Divine Architect is, to me, simply unthinkable. The countless Luminaries , those Celestial Intelligences, silent sentinels suspended in the vastness pour their ancient light upon us, whispering in a tongue beyond mortal words, yet perfectly clear to the listening heart. They speak, softly and ceaselessly, of order woven from chaos, of purpose threaded through the infinite dark, they declare, in every glimmer and constellation, the tender, unchanging reality of God the Father, whose glory spills across the heavens and into the deepest chambers of the soul. In that hushed dialogue between sky and spirit, doubt dissolves like mist before dawn. The stars do not merely shine they testify. They remind us that we are seen, known, and loved by the One who set them in their courses and who still holds every wandering heart in His steady gaze.

Priesthood channels are essential. they provide order, unity, and inspired guidance for the Church as a whole. But they do change and update (occasionally flip) fairly regularly, often based on the wisdom and intelligence of man sometimes but not always combined with inspiration from the Spirit (let's be honest sometimes it's lawyers). That filtering through human intelligence is real and necessary for administrative policies, handbook guidelines, procedural adjustments, etc. There's (a deep) distinction between outright Revelation (direct words from the Lord, as in scripture or a very rare solemn declarations) and inspiration (the Spirit guiding wise decisions) and plain wisdom of man. Most of what comes through official channels falls into the inspired or wise but not Revelatory category, practical applications for our day rather than eternal, unchangeable doctrine. Very few things are explicitly presented as new Revelation these days (very very sadldky so) Brother Joseph taught that the best way to obtain truth and wisdom isn't from books or even solely from others, but to go directly to God in prayer for divine teaching. He emphasized that every faithful man can receive Revelation for their themselves. Brigham Young built on that, warning strongly against leaning too much on the "arm of flesh" (human counsel or institutions alone) and urging us to seek the Lord personally in ALL matters, trusting the Holy Ghost to lead us RIGHT even when it might feel counter to our own initial judgment or Counter prevailing views or policies. Ultimately, personal Revelation through the Holy Ghost is the ultimate confirming and guiding line for each of us in our individual lives and families. When there's harmony between that personal guidance and priesthood channels, it's beautiful. When there's apparent tension, the scriptures and early leaders point us back to earnest seeking of the Lord, careful discernment (testing spirits, aligning with core doctrines like the Doctrine of Christ), and humility. I believe staying anchored in Personal Revelation keeps us from blindly following man while still honoring the Lord's established order. And in the least days only those who are tuned for and seek after Personal Revelation will be free from the Confusion that will affect even the most elect. First off, it's not the Anunnaki. It is the Apkallu. Second, this isn't Sumerian. It is Neo-Assyrian. You are off by thousands of years. This would be like calling Shakespeare "Celtic Poetry". The relief is from the palace of King Ashurnasirpal II in the 800s BCE. Sumer was conquered by the Akkadians in 2,200 BCE and the 3rd Dynasty of Ur was gone by 2000BCE. Sumer is just as far away from them as we are to the Charlemagne or the Lombards. Also it's probably not even a pine cone. I am well aware that many people have connected it to the Turkish Pine but when I read those sources it's often from a source that doesn't know much about Assyriology. You can see from a smaller inscription on the same relief that it is date-palm, showing the same Apkallu figure cleary picking from date-palms shown in different sizes. They clearly are made up of round dates and not scales. If you just spent A LITTLE time reading some of the standard translations of Akkadian & Assyrian poetry you would know that the date-palm was a sacred plant that is sacred to Dumuzi and represents the "Plant of Life" mentioned in numerous sources, described to a TEE as being from a thorny tree. Date-palms in that region are thorny, as I am showing. These people don't even know the difference between the Apkallu and the Anunnaki and think they are overturning centuries of Assyriology. But yea, the "Pine cone is a secret message", sure. So smart!
