@TheMutambuze More like going where there's no path and you leave a trail.........., for what others have done, I can do, and do it better.........., having different and uncommon path doesn't mean that it's wrong..........

Reclaiming my Innocence
Minutes ago, I restored my X bio to what had been there for the longest time. It’s sad to say, but the pragmatism of life had robbed me of my naivety and innocence.
“A man at the source of the Nile dedicated to inspiring the continent to greatness.”
No statement better encapsulates my life than that. It captures the 19-year-old who chose to drop out of university. It captures the man who walks away from well-paying jobs. It captures a man who seeks knowledge beyond the confines of profession.
To many he’s an unfocused man; to a few, a seeker; and to me, a man in search of the way to greatness. An identity well captured in the name, @TheMutambuze.
As a young man, I set off on a quest to discover the path to greatness. As one can imagine, a road less travelled is a lonely and treacherous one. A path marked by self-doubt and fear, but paved with courage and faith.
Behind every decision is a refusal to settle for normalcy. A refusal to follow the template that was defined. Not out of rebellion or hubris, but out of the simple idea to not blindly follow, but rather to find the roots of things on which to build my life.
I don’t have a global cause. I have a continental cause. It’s the simple conviction that whatever anyone else in the world can do, Africans can also do. As a matter of fact, if anyone has a reason to boast, it should be the African, because science testifies to him being the origin of the human species.
If you read this far, then perhaps you’re a kindred spirit. For anyone sharing this dream, I’ll leave you with a quote from Steve Jobs: “Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you.”
Be blessed.

Had a great time catching up with @DrNaluyima and her husband Washington at their one acre farm. This small farm has a greater and productive turnover than large farms in the country. The circular farm model reduces farm operation costs and more importantly great yields.
Here is a short thread.
Her matoke is so huge! I asked her what her magic was and she talked of mastery in the organic fertilizer. I will show you how.

At midnight, as the world lifts its voice in staggered, desynchronised choruses of “Happy New Year”, December merely yields to January. The calendar turns—obedient, indifferent. It always does. Time pauses neither for ceremony nor for acknowledgement.
And yet, we mark the moment.
Is this the source of our celebration—an arbitrary hinge in time, a numeral replacing another? Or is it, rather, the promise that we project onto what appears to be a clean page? Yet no beginning, however much we insist upon it, stands apart from an ending. No bright dawn arrives without the burial of the darkest night; no first step is taken without the forsaking of familiar ground. Renewal is never pure. What begins carries forward what has ended—what has tired, what has been worn thin by trial and repetition.
And still, we gather.
Perhaps it is this that we honour: the last becoming the first, without forgetting its previous place; the “bent and broken” surrendering to the hope that it might all have been to achieve “a better shape”; the arbitrariness of time softening into the chance for meaning.
Existential construction, spiritual orientation, or creative destruction—there are as many descriptions as breaths we take. The essence, however, remains the same.
The year turns. It offers nothing.
And in this sober, unadorned truth lies the depth of the simplest ritual: the collective permission to try again, and yet once more.
The past may never be cleansed, but the future remains possible—so long as we try again, together, until there is no longer any need for one more attempt.
Happy New Year, from this corner of the Greater South.

I was pleased to participate in the Conference on South–South Cooperation and Justice for Africans and Afrodescendent Peoples through Reparations.
As a prevailing global order comes undone, the Greater South must assume its responsibilities and consolidate its collective efforts to build a more just and equitable world. To do so, we must:
○ Build bridges amongst our peoples, through enhanced mobility and the strengthening of our creative industries;
○ Generate strategic leverage through targeted investments in sovereignty-enhancing sectors;
○ Reinforce our respective integration frameworks, whilst advancing interoperability amongst our regional and continental institutions; and
○ Establish our own financial and taxation mechanisms to support an endogenous development agenda.
I extend my sincere appreciation to the Embassy of Colombia in Addis Ababa for convening this timely initiative and for the invitation to contribute to its deliberations.

ANKOLE CATTLE / SOUTH AFRICA
PERSONALITY ; @danielf_naude
@danielf_naude heads the association of Ankole long horned cattle owners in South Africa where President Rwamaphosa also subscribes as a passionate member.
@danielf_naude recently exhibited Ankole long horned cattle at the just concluded G20 summit that had many presidents attend.
The pictures you saw were taken in Uganda at Mr. Rutahigwas farm in Ankole Uganda, working together with his sons and daughter @RR007788 , @RutahBudidi and @TumukundSam.
@danielf_naude close to @RR007788 partly because he came and spent time on their farm filming and doing photography which is was fantastic.
@danielf_naude has done a super job in marketing and branding of Ankole long horn cattle across the world by the way.
@danielf_naude also owns Ankole brand of drinks( beer and wine) like you can see below.
Interestingly some Ugandans have started touring Ankole long horn cattle on a farm in Cape Town( South Africa) as they enjoy South African wine. Naye Mwe!
@danielf_naude actually bought one of the big bulls on Mr. Rutahigwas farm at usd 15k and yes, in South Africa Ankole long horned cattle are very expensive!
Ankole cattle are just one example of how sleepy we are on taking advantage of God given opportunities. We are being shown the way.
Just imagine South Africans had our weather, our primates, our mountains, our Nile, our lake Victoria, just imagine!
@danielf_naude has played a very key role in branding and marketing of Ankole long horned cattle and I can’t wait engaging him about how he did. He has won awards too!

🌍#AfricaIndustrialisationDay reminds us that industrial transformation begins with digital sovereignty. No region can build a resilient future relying on inherited models or external technologies.
➡️The digital pillars of transformative justice demand a roadmap grounded in dignity, equity, and endogenous innovation. Without control over the technological foundations of production, industrialisation risks repeating extractive patterns that limit real development.
✅For the OSC, becoming drivers of the technological revolution means building home-grown technologies, strengthening open-source ecosystems, and ensuring that Africa’s industries are powered by its own knowledge, capacity, and vision — not borrowed tools.

We know you're wondering: so, what is the Greater South?
✅Then we invite you to read the dialogue “Why the Greater South?” with Secretary-General @MBinMussallam, in which discusses the idea of the Greater South – its origin, rationale, and relevance – in understanding the need for a new form of multilateralism that is based on equality, equity and solidarity as well as mutual cooperation in addressing development challenges and planetary threats of our era.

《 At break of day, when you are reluctant to get up, have this thought ready to mind: "I am getting up for a man's work. Do I still then resent it, if I am going out to do what I was born for, the purpose for which I was brought into the world? Or was I created to wrap myself up in blankets and keep warm?" 'But this is more pleasant.' Were you then born for pleasure — all for feeling, not for action? Can you not see plants, birds, ants, spiders, bees all doing their own work, each helping in their own way to order the world? And then you do not want to do the work of a human being — you do not hurry to the demands of your own nature. 'But one needs rest too.' One does indeed: I agree. But nature has set limits on this too, just as it has to eating and drinking, and yet you go beyond these limits, beyond what you need. Not in your actions, though, not any longer: here you stay below your capability. 》

When the global structures of power no longer serve the common good, ours becomes the historic duty of reconstruction.
Yet the arch of History does not bend on its own, but by the will of the united.
Through shared purpose, the Greater South must find the collective leverage to build a multilateralism that mirrors Humanity itself: diverse, dignified, and determined to stand as one.
And, in that pursuit, blossoms a promise renewed — that the world’s destiny shall belong to all, not to a few.
