Reclaiming my Innocence Minutes ago, I restored my X bio to what had been there for the longest time. It’s sad to say, but the pragmatism of life had robbed me of my naivety and innocence. “A man at the source of the Nile dedicated to inspiring the continent to greatness.” No statement better encapsulates my life than that. It captures the 19-year-old who chose to drop out of university. It captures the man who walks away from well-paying jobs. It captures a man who seeks knowledge beyond the confines of profession. To many he’s an unfocused man; to a few, a seeker; and to me, a man in search of the way to greatness. An identity well captured in the name, @TheMutambuze. As a young man, I set off on a quest to discover the path to greatness. As one can imagine, a road less travelled is a lonely and treacherous one. A path marked by self-doubt and fear, but paved with courage and faith. Behind every decision is a refusal to settle for normalcy. A refusal to follow the template that was defined. Not out of rebellion or hubris, but out of the simple idea to not blindly follow, but rather to find the roots of things on which to build my life. I don’t have a global cause. I have a continental cause. It’s the simple conviction that whatever anyone else in the world can do, Africans can also do. As a matter of fact, if anyone has a reason to boast, it should be the African, because science testifies to him being the origin of the human species. If you read this far, then perhaps you’re a kindred spirit. For anyone sharing this dream, I’ll leave you with a quote from Steve Jobs: “Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you.” Be blessed.

The Fossilized Colonial Pedagogical Architecture You cannot evaluate modern Ugandan economic behavior without indicting its educational infrastructure, which remains a relic of the British colonial administration. The objective of the colonial school system (e.g., the foundational missionary schools and the early iterations of Makerere University) was never to produce disruptive entrepreneurs, critical thinkers, or innovators. The system was engineered with a highly specific industrial purpose: to mass-produce compliant, literate clerks, bureaucrats, and low-level administrators to manage the protectorate on behalf of the Crown. • Rote Memorization: The curriculum prioritized exact repetition over synthesis. • Absolute Obedience: Deference to authority (the teacher, the syllabus, the colonial officer) was structurally rewarded.

One year ago, I unveiled @LugandaGPT. Today, it’s open for you to test. We have a long road ahead, but I’m inspired knowing this is the worst it will ever be. It only gets better from here. Step by step, we are breaking down language barriers.

@TheMutambuze The innocence of naivety & the naivety of innocence may sometimes be the most powerful things for a man (or woman) called unto greatness. It is what keeps one daring to dream & daring to live a life that may not make sense to others. Even greater is how much it inspires others.

@TheMutambuze More like going where there's no path and you leave a trail.........., for what others have done, I can do, and do it better.........., having different and uncommon path doesn't mean that it's wrong..........

Does debt exist in nature? In nature, growth is organic and positive, but debt is negative growth. A man trapped by debt can lose everything, and his descendants can inherit that deficit. Perhaps it’s what the Bible calls the devourer. Be blessed. Be free.

@TheMutambuze Often times we are afraid of losing things we have heavily invested in physically and psychologically even when giving up on them would have a less toll on us.

People sacrifice their lives to protect their egos. The fear of losing costs them what they can’t afford to lose. A man afraid to die cannot be free. Be blessed. Be free.

The media is constantly talking about the AI disruption, but many people wonder why they don’t see it yet. Economists encounter this with lagging indicators. Doctors encounter this with disease, you don’t get infected the day you fall sick. Even the Bible has a perspective on this: Prophet Elijah saw a small cloud the size of a human fist and immediately prepared for the massive storm. In the age of AI, there are two kinds of people. There’s the farmer who knows it’s going to rain and starts preparing their garden, and the one who waits for the downpour to act. Sadly, by the time you finally see it, it’s usually too late.

@ElizabethNakay6 I think most (if not all) models need tokenization. It’s the basis of the predicted probability distributions.

Kwashi-or-kor Just remembered the hack I came up with in primary school to remember the spelling of Kwashiorkor. Why didn’t I memorize the entire word? Why break it up into pieces? 🤔

Under the directives of the President of the UAE, we launch a new government model. Within two years, 50% of government sectors, services, and operations will run on Agentic AI, making the UAE the first government globally to operate at this scale through autonomous systems. AI is no longer a tool. It analyses, decides, executes, and improves in real time. It will become our executive partner to enhance services, accelerate decisions, and raise efficiency. This transformation has a clear timeline. Two years. Performance across government will be measured by speed of adoption, quality of implementation, and mastery of AI in redesigning government work. We are investing in our people. Every federal employee will be trained to master AI, building one of the world’s strongest capabilities in AI-driven government. Implementation will be overseen by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, with a dedicated taskforce chaired by Mohammad Al Gergawi driving execution. The world is changing. Technology is accelerating. Our principle remains constant. People come first. Our goal is a government that is faster, more responsive, and more impactful.

THIS IS THE FULL MEMO TIM COOK JUST SENT TO APPLE $AAPL EMPLOYEES TALKING ABOUT HIM STEPPING DOWN AS CEO Team, Fifteen years ago, my friend and mentor Steve Jobs asked me to step into the role of CEO. It was an emotional and challenging moment for all of us at Apple, and I hoped I’d be up for the awesome responsibility I was taking on. I knew then what I know now: that there are certain values embedded in Apple that are bigger than any of us; a belief in the simple, not the complex; a determination to innovate with a focus on those few things that are truly important to the world and meaningful to us; an impatience for anything less than excellence in every group in the company; a commitment to enriching the lives of those we have a privilege to touch with our work; and a resolve to do all that we can to leave the world better than we found it. Those were the values that made Apple what it was then, and I am proud to say that they are the ideals that animate each of us today. Today, we have a truly extraordinary road map, and I have never been more optimistic about Apple’s future. That is why I have decided that now is the right time for me to transition to a new role of executive chairman. And I am thrilled to announce that John Ternus will be our new CEO. Throughout the many years I’ve worked with him, and our many conversations about his becoming Apple’s next CEO, John’s passion and love for Apple shine through. He is a visionary in his own right, a man of remarkable integrity, and the kind of person we can all be proud to follow. John is the right leader to help us innovate into the future, to help us break new ground on big ideas and bold new pathways, and to ensure that the values that have made us so successful and so admired for the past 50 years will remain the core of our identity and our culture in the decades to come. For my part, I will remain CEO through the summer and work very closely with John as we transition roles. In my new role as executive chairman, I plan to support John and Apple in a number of key areas and to be available to offer my experience whenever and wherever it is needed. I want to offer my profound gratitude to the best executive team on the planet for your friendship and your brilliance over the years. And I want all of you, every member of the Apple team, to know how much it has meant to me to work with you. You are the most remarkable people in the world, and it’s because of you that Apple is such a special place. What we built, we built together, and you are why I am incredibly optimistic about the future. I know you will join me in congratulating John as we write this next chapter of Apple’s story. We’ll be hosting a town hall tomorrow in the Steve Jobs Theater at 9 a.m. to talk about this and more. I’m looking forward to it. With gratitude, Tim
