@flying_rodent I think it makes more sense to pick a direct fight with Russia by seizing their oil shipments. If that doesn't boost the economy I don't know what will.

@MReco12 @cezthesocialist Are you serious? The only people that would care are online leftists and about 4 socialist campaign group MPs. The media would just look the other way. I mean what exactly happened about the anti black racism highlighted in the Forde report?! *tumbleweed*

@HunterB86 @cezthesocialist Yes it would. Hounding the first black woman out of the party would be a disastrous look, especially after they carried on about the charlatan Lucania Berger.

I don’t want any Labour MPs in the Green Party. They have the blood of Palestinians on their hands that will never wash off, and they have the stench of the right-wing Labour Party that will never dissipate. Whether they came into politics to do good or not is irrelevant. The best way they can serve us now is by fucking off. And they deserve for their political careers to end with Labour.

🔴Dear public, Why would a NURSE be allowed to perform an endoscopy procedure (ERCP) + seriously harm/kill 68 patients in Rotherham NHS Trust @RotherhamNHS_FT 💀☠️ ⭕️ERCP is an invasive procedure strictly performed by consultant hepatobiliary surgeons. ⭕️The spineless doctors have also failed their patients by allowing this “self-confident” nurse consultant to even think about performing ERCPs. ⭕️She obfuscated her role and misled the patients. These are the repercussions of a flat hierarchy.

The Government is mandating GP referrals have to go to a Single Point of Access (SPoA) - with a stated aim of 1 in 4 being bounced back to the GP to manage. It is now confirmed in writing that those patients will not be on official waiting lists. 1/2

@BBCNews Like so many other things it never should have been privatised. The value of an affordable and reliable nationwide system was worth way more than any short term gains, not to mention all the valuable property assets lost.

@BareLeft Being able to deliver any public infrastructure on time or remotely close to budget does seem to be something we excel at. our inability to DO anything is partly why this country is so fucked.

Reuters confirms why I’ve been saying: the U.S. has been allowing fuel in to Cuban private businesses like foreign-operated hotels but barring it from hospitals and other publicly run institutions. I’m sure that the NYT and The Free Press, which produced entire articles about Hasan Piker’s hotel, will do a follow up now

@BBCNews Dentistry is basically privatised. The NHS fixed amounts per treatment barely covers their business costs. Dentists operating privately can earn more and get to treat patients with compassion instead of just rushing through each treatment as quickly as possible.

@ShaunLintern If a service is already struggling how will having their payments held back help? For what reasons will people be able to hold back payment? Getting what you want when you want it isn't an indicator of 'quality'. This sounds like it will cost a fortune to administer.

Streeting says he will soon roll out patient power payments, where patients will decide if the provider should get the full cost of their care based on the quality of care. Starting with women he says this will "kick medical misogyny where it it hurts."

@areyoflight These people think that there is massively more frauds in the system than there really is. They also arrogantly believe they can tell who is *really* deserving and who isn't just by looking. If ever they got ill and had to claim anything they'd be in for a massive shock.

My mum has cancer. She had her PIP assessment by phone because attending in person posed a serious infection risk. Would you force her into an assessment centre anyway? Remote assessments aren’t a loophole - they’re a lifeline. Disabled people aren’t a budget line to be cut. You really have no clue @Helen_Whately

@OfSymbols Nobody genuinely progressive/centre left should be voting for a party led by this guy anyway. They didn't have to provide cover for the Tories in coalition and his party in the post office scandal tells us what he is really about

Capping ground rent but not service charge. Capping vet prescription costs but not vet appointments. Calling for de-escalation in the Middle East but letting the US use British bases to bomb Iran. Labour likes to identify the problem but always seems to duck meaningful solutions

@FHawksworth He probably doesn't qualify for disability benefit because he has demonstrated he is able to do a job - the system doesn't care if employers won't give him a chance. He'd probably have been better of not trying at all!

And herein lies the problem. You can lead the horse (employers) to water, but you can't make them drink. 21 year old disabled man did 9 months as a bin man for free but was not employed by the same council when he applied for the same job. No doubt the independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-n…
