Linkedin games feels like a direct play to go after @nytimes Gut says high likelihood of success - Large active user base - News consumption paired w games/puzzles - Low cost to test + iterate - Love the "streaks" + social element Maybe they get their Wordle moment...

Have been testing out AI notetakers on calls last two months -- have tried Zoom, @firefliesai, + @FathomDotVideo. Looking for some additional to try. Anybody have one they're very high on? Would be nice to find one that is helpful at capturing requirements vs simple summaries

@otter_ai @doctorow so now i'm looking for a new mac transcription app to replace the enshittified @otter_ai. needs: non-subscription/offline, searching across transcripts, can generate time-stamps from any spot in the text. any recommendations? (macwhisper sounds swell but doesn't work on my OS.)

What are folks favorite tools for audio transcription + summarization these days? Zoom/Hangout/Teams calls, voice recordings, etc.

@accuweather FYI there's a bug causing the incorrect location to display on your Web + Mobile. It keeps showing "Murray Hill, NY" after looking up "Flushing, Queens, NY". Can see in the URL the zip code is 11355 (not Murray Hill) accuweather.com/en/us/murray-h…

Getting Ubers from NY airports has become impossible. Says 2 min when requesting. 5 min to get a driver that’s 5 min away. Then takes >15 min for the driver to actually arrive. If you are lucky.

@dadiomov In certain geos, communicating via voice notes is very popular. When I studied abroad in Hong Kong, was surprised by the level of usage by students on WeChat + WhatsApp.

I don't get the hype about voice interfaces. Current human behavior is that we text instead of calling because voice is awkward in meetings, on planes, around people, with family, at dinner, etc. Why would talking to a device be any more convenient?

Which AI chat is best for doing data analysis right now? Looking for the ability to map together multiple sets of data and reliably get accurate analysis. While playing around with GPT/Claude, often find the first calculations are wrong and must check all of its work.

@nikillinit 💯Would love to see my actual stats, but imagine I use it >15x a day. Any other simple ones you frequently use that I could be missing out on? It's crazy how so many folks don't know about Mic mode.

Two simple, yet amazing Apple features that I love 1. Copy and paste between your devices. Constantly do this between my iPhone and Macbook 2. Voice Isolation Mic Mode. Instantly filters out background noise. Surprisingly, many people don't know about one or both

@rex_woodbury Peloton nailed this social aspect on many levels - ability to see who’s working out now + join them in the class - and see a feed of classes friends recently took. Surprised that Spotify and content companies (esp Netflix) have not nailed social. Feels like a clear win.

Find My has quietly become the social app of the moment. Most young people I talk to track 5, 10, 15+ friends on Find My. This gets at the biggest trend in social: latent awareness. Curiosity about what other people are up to. I expect the concept will extend to other data. Strava already does something similar for workouts. What if our phones could auto-populate a social feed with other data on us? Not just location, but everything else. What is your friend reading, writing, eating, watching? How much did they sleep last night, how far did they walk today, how many articles did they read? This future isn't too far off, particularly with younger generations not caring as much about privacy.

@omooretweets Any reason why @Snap and their "My AI" is not included in this list? While I don't use it often, I've heard there is high engagement and usage across their large user base.

@businessbarista A fix for your AirPod problem that you might not know about - voice isolation mode. It removes all background noise and you sound 10x clearer on calls. Very easy to enable and I’ve found most people don’t know the feature exists. support.apple.com/en-us/HT213683

I think of 10+ business ideas/day. People think it's crazy, but I promise you anyone can do it. It's just about going off autopilot & turning on THE SQUEAKY BRAIN. As you experience life, constantly be on the lookout for things that feel squeaky (imperfect, annoying, friction-filled, confusing, illogical). Not every idea will be great, and most will be taken, but Squeaky Brain will help you find those few great ideas faster. Here's my Squeaky List since 8:30am: 1) Bathing my dog sucks. What if there was a Drybar for Dogs. I'd pay $150/monthly to bring Rambo in for bi-weekly baths & blowouts. 2) Why do jeans need belts? It means they don't fit perfectly. What if there was a way to create custom jeans, affordably, at scale. 3) Trimming my beard creates a huge mess in the bathroom. What if there were a beard trimming catcher that just worked. 4) AirPod mics absolutely suck. Someone should build bluetooth headphones optimized for digital workers (not consumers). 5) I'm wildly addicted to my phone & I can't curb it. I've tried accountability groups, lock boxes, and kale phones. Nothing works. There has to be a better way. 6) Urinal splashage is a real, age-old issue. Someone needs to solve it. And there's a huge benefit to businesses if someone does. 7) I wanted to give feedback on someone's website, but I couldn't. It'd be awesome to turn any website from READ to WRITE & make it collaborative/multiplayer.
