This is a very sad day for the Igbo political survival in nigeria, your argument about leaving ADC doesn’t make sense in any way.
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances. We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal. More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism. We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power. Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise. Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them. However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building. Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated. And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions. There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline? Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from. Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

BREAKING: KEY QUESTIONS ON NDC ALLIANCES Recent developments have left Nigerians seeking clarity: 1. Are personal financial stakes in regulated industries influencing major political decisions? 2. How do you humiliate your own elders and expect them to join you to broken promises 3. What does INEC’s official portal actually say about the registration status of NDC and ADC? 4. Are regional vote bloc projections being used to unite Nigerians or to split them? 5. Are you afraid of losing party primaries? 6. Are you afraid of PBAT? Nigerians deserve transparency, not backroom deals. Verify party records directly on INEC’s website. Enough of the deception. Enough of the emotional manipulation. Enough of jumping between parties and fracturing our votes. If the goal is truly to vote APC out in 2027, then unity is non-negotiable, consolidate under the most formidable opposition platform ADC. 7m+6m+1.5m when Kano was together against 8m PBAT without instrument of power. No distractions. No dilution. No emotions. Politics is not activism! The time to align is now. Arise and shine.

I don't have issues with your take, but why planning to take a different route by balkanizing a platform everyone has already key into If you are ADC leaders, how would you react? Don't you know that in the game of politics, everyone should be on board...If Tinubu has run a separate route, Buhari here, Atiku there..maybe Ameachi, another route, how would they have defeated Jonathan? You don't sneak out the middle of the night when everyone is sleeping Political miscalculation will come back to hunt you

If you actually deep it, you will understand that Atiku is not even the real problem. When Buhari was projected by Tinubu and co, the opposition then understood the task. They knew that they needed a candidate with cult following like Buhari who as at then wasn't even rich enough to dollarize the primaries. They sold him to Nigerians as Mr integrity and followed up by sponsoring that mirage of an image. Today the main opposition the ADC has the same or even better ingredients in Peter Obi and Kwankwaso to upstage the Ruinous APC. But their gluttonous greed for Atiku's Dollars is the REAL problem. They are unwilling to MAKE the SACRIFICES. The APC is a very "Lucky" political Party.

This was how it started, “Don't register until PO gets the ticket” Then, you guys said, “We want direct primaries because it will end dollarization”. A few weeks before Kwankwaso joined, you guys wanted an Obi/Kwankwaso consensus ticket. Now you guys are back to direct primaries without having the number. When Peter Obi saw the number of registered members, he decided he couldn't defeat Atiku and Amaechi and started agitating that he wanted to leave the party to where he would get a free ticket. How will he get the ADC ticket when you guys don't want to register? Rivers (4th position with 199k registered members) is the only southern state that is in the top 10 but Anambra is in 11th position with 95k registered members yet we have a presidential aspirant in the state. The Obidients are the reason why Peter Obi can't win the ADC ticket because of the reluctance of the supporters to register. If you guys are sure that Obi - Kwankwaso are popular than Atiku then register and defeat the former Vice President that's the normal thing to do.
OurFaveOnlineDoc 🇬🇧 🇳🇬@OurFavOnlineDoc

No. No need to register for any political party until Peter Obi gets the presidential ticket. When he gets the ticket, whatever party it is, we face 2027 on that ticket. It is about Peter Obi. It is not about any political party.

Clarification on My Political Position We have noted recent media reports and discussions suggesting a possible realignment within the African Democratic Congress (ADC) due to the current challenges facing the party. In light of the misleading narratives in the public domain, I wish to state categorically that no final decision has been taken regarding my political future or that of my political associates. The recent Supreme Court judgment, while affirming the legitimacy of the David Mark-led National Working Committee (NWC), also remitted the matter back to the High Court. This has left the party in a precarious position. In addition, the Federal High Court has recently ruled to delegitimise the party’s recent convention. The Attorney General of the Federation has also strangely applied to a Federal High Court to deregister the ADC. We left the NNPP due to externally influenced legal problems that made our stay perilous. The ADC has now been also forced into this difficulty. Consequently, like other major stakeholders, we have commenced wide-ranging consultations — including with leaders from the NDC, PRP and others to explore the best options for protecting our democratic interests. We shall announce our decision in the soonest possible time. On the issue of presidential candidacy, I wish to recall my consistent record as a committed democrat. In the 2014 APC presidential primary, I came second to President Muhammadu Buhari (whom I fully supported to victory), with Atiku Abubakar third, Rochas Okorocha fourth, and the late Sam Nda-Isaiah fifth. Similarly, in 2019, I contested the PDP presidential ticket and immediately supported the winner, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar, serving as the campaign’s coordinator in the North. I have always placed national interest and party unity above personal ambition. Furthermore, the ADC is yet to zone its presidential ticket or take any decision on a candidate. I have therefore neither declared any intention to run for president nor endorsed any aspirant. All speculations to the contrary are premature and unfounded. My absence from the two recent ADC stakeholders’ meetings was due to unavoidable personal commitments. I promptly communicated my apologies to the party leadership. We shall continue to engage constructively at all levels. Any definitive position on our political direction will be communicated formally through official channels at the appropriate time. Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, PhD, FNSE Former Governor, Kano State Former Minster of Defence

(PART 2) His Excellency Mr @PeterObi, you are a very powerful politician with a cult like followership, Atiku is powerful too, you are still very young, but Atiku is not, you still have chances more than Atiku in years to come, if Tinubu can strategically wait by playing the game well, nothing can stop you if you forged a formidable force with Atiku and all the strong coalition and first of all remove power from demonic APC party first in first in Please do not make this political suicide because we tried it in 2023, and it did not work How many elections has INEC conducted under Tinubu? What did it tell you? And how have the results been so far? How do you start convincing people from the village to start knowing this new party, which that day a lot of old people might still mistakenly vote for Mama, Papa, Pikin Please, we are not in support of this your voyage. Stay put and work with Atiku and rescue our country from the conundrum of APC maladministration who seek to end us all with their full hatred towards Ndigbo The last election taught me a lot, and I won't waste my time if all the political opposition bigwigs don't come together and face this APC murderous monster head on Let me remind you? do you think factions will not emerge from NDC? With their rudderless and corrupt APC judges to endorse it, they are waiting for you to land so that they can feast on you like a hawk. This is a one-time war, and it must be collective, failure to do so, Ndigbo will not recover from it from years to come!

Dear Mr, @PeterObi (PART 1) His Excellency, It saddens my heart that I write this letter to you with all honesty, truthfulness, and blunt I was forced to come out after a very long time because of the precarious situation at hand Whatever your permutations are going right now, do not leave the coalition because if you do so, you will be going on a suicide voyage If Nigeria election is conducted free and fair 10 times, you will win 10 times. Nigerians knows that, we all know it. Be like the famous book of thought Niccolò Machiavelli Right now you are fighting APC Jackels and hyenas who are hell bent on exterminating your political prowess and Ndigbo in general, they hate you with passion, they won't wait to ridicule and rubbish you if you choose to jump ship You got 6 million votes last time, this time they will make sure that not only will you get 6th position infact sowore party will garnered more votes than you to teach you political correctness The only people that can cure Tinubu's madness is a strong political Northern blocs Northerners do not fear death, they are ever battle ready to die with any election riggers that may upturn the will of people, because this time, they are more wiser than ever before It takes a statement from Nothern political bigwigs to APC Judges to say "No ADC on the ballot, No election in Northern Nigeria to correct the rascality of APC judges to return to status quo and allowed God to use them. The last election taught me a bitter experience that I won't want to repeat again, some polling units don't even have Party agents and our results were rigged, how do you now match APC rascality with your new love NDC mushroom Party even when there are no offices in the capital not to talk of local areas. Please this is political miscalculation if you decide to leave the stong coalition to another new party making it a three horse race, not only will Tinubu win, your party will be disgraced and you might not recover from it, because the Northerners won't want to partner with Ndigbo again seeing inconsistencies and lack of political unity, because 2027 will teach them a lesson The surest way to become president in this satanic APC government is to first of all remove APC from power. Only then, your aspirations to make Nigeria great will be materialised Learn from Tinubu political sagacity, in spite of his old age, he decided to relinquish his birthright to Buhari, just to defeat the incumbent because he knows it is only Buhari merger that can cause the destabilisation of Jonathan's government @atiku is to Northern Nigeria as Buhari was to Northern Nigeria, APC government fears Atiku northern oligarchy because they knows how to cure APC madness with madness either by death or by chaos Southerners fears death, just like Obidients, the Obidients are young supporters who will always run at gun shots, and then by shouting to the world writing to UN, ICC, IOC, UNESCO and even to FIFA , and that ends it, and nothing will come out of it. The last election taught me alot, Yes you won! No doubt about it, like I said if they conduct free and fair election 10 times, you will win 10 times, but African leaders are power drunks, it takes madness and possibly killings to remove power from despot which Tinubu and Wike belongs to In fact, APC will be happy to face you single handedly than face Atiku, because they know you are a peaceful man and your supporters are very young intelligent youths who value life and wouldn't want to bay for blood The Nigerian Police and Soldiers will kill and maim any youths from the South who dare to stop their rigging machinations than they would from the North No Soldier or police will shoot at any Northern youths, because any security personnel that ventures has signed his death warrant instantly, because the person will not come back alive because they will be willing and happy to send that person to paradise even if it takes all the northern youths.......

Harnessing Youth Potential Through Sport. I followed the recent celebrity boxing match where Carter Efe emerged victorious over the reigning champion, Portable. I congratulate the winner on his determination and commend both participants for embracing the spirit of sportsmanship. Such healthy competition, grounded in respect and fairness, is a culture we must consciously imbibe as a nation, especially in a time when unity and mutual respect are greatly needed. It is worthy to note that what began as light-hearted entertainment is rapidly evolving into a platform that commands widespread attention, particularly among young Nigerians. Beyond the rings, it reflects the energy, creativity, and resilience of our youth. More importantly, it has the capacity to discover and nurture talents who, with the right support and structure, could become the Anthony Joshuas of the future, placing Nigeria firmly on the global sporting map. It is therefore important that we look more deeply into such events. With deliberate investment, proper regulation, and institutional backing, this emerging space can be transformed into a viable industry - one that creates employment, instills discipline, and channels youthful energy into productive ventures. In doing so, we not only entertain, but also empower, building pathways for sustainable national development. A new is POssible. -PO
