ICT Cohort 2 (2026) on Day 2 explored decision-making & emotional intelligence. Using the PAUSE tool, the Wheel of Emotions & Emotional Intelligence pillars, they reflected on their choices and influences around them as they transition to different paths after high school.

In our theme session today, learners held honest conversations on sexuality, consent & STIs. This strengthened their ability to make informed decisions for healthier, safer relationships. They affirmed shared responsibility in preventing early pregnancy and STI transmission.

Yesterday, on day 3 of "Strengthening Access and Support to SRHR services for vulnerable populations" training, the focus was on Human Centred Design (HCD). During this session, healthcare providers engaged in an in-depth root cause analysis of the SRHR ecosystem.

Strengthening access to SRHR for key population sensitization day 1 was filled with reflections on personal values and their impact on SRHR service delivery by health care service providers. "we show up 100% who we are to our jobs"-Dr Mugambi,lead facilitator.

Policy reforms are needed within political parties to enhance the inclusion and participation of women. ELOG's Programs Coordinator, Marcus Agenga, presented on the consolidated electoral reforms Matrix by the Technical Working Group on the inclusion of Special Interest Groups.

On issues of the civic and democratic space in Kenya, we note serious challenge including; 🚔Authorities restricting civic space through abductions, unexplained disappearances, arbitrary arrests and excessive use of force against protesters; 👮‍♂️Responsible officers not held to account for their impunity; ⚖️No justice for affected families, victims and witnesses threatened and clear lack of empathy on the part of the government; 🗣️A threat to the freedom of expression .
