Sometimes in life you need to defend yourself. I will NOT have my good, professional reputation ruined by a couple idiots online just making ridiculous things up, judging my character and questioning my integrity, my loyalty and love for Spurs. On Sunday, Fulham away will be my 75th Spurs related game on this season, covering the men’s first team, the U21s and the U18s and the Women’s team, home and away, as well as pre-season in South Korea, Hong Kong and Germany. On social media, I am extremely careful what I post, how I post and what I say on various platforms. I have always maintained a good level of professionalism, am also polite and friendly, have never used “clickbait” and have a lot of respect from a lot of professional people who work in the football industry. I am extremely proud that I run and host the most watched and listened to Tottenham related YouTube channel and podcast and with that comes a lot of responsibility, so I am very careful what goes out and how things are worded. In the last few days, I have learnt a lot about people, social media, the people who want to stir trouble, the many individuals who just want to bring you down without even the story, the background, and many of these people don’t even know me or have met me. Most aren’t even young and naïve, they are full grown adults who are jealous, they are here online to hate, be negative and want to cause trouble to others. I’ve also learnt a lot from certain individuals who haven’t said a word, when they know the fully story. Social media, particularly X, can be vile at times, but surely people can have a mind of their own, think for themselves and not be led my idiots, liars, stirrers and jealous individuals. If you don’t know the back story, I posted a video on Sunday, during the North London derby, showing Tudor talking to his defence asking them to “push up”, he was talking to his whole defence and my caption on X was “Igor Tudor is constantly at Micky van de Ven, telling the back-line to push up!” Earlier I posted another post “Igor Tudor seems to be very hands-on early on, having chats with van de Ven, Bissouma, Spence and Sarr.” – NOTHING in these two posts were inaccurate, clickbait or were aimed to cause trouble or negatively, and Tudor himself in the press conference confirmed he was talking to his “whole defence” – as I stated. What happened following the post, people took it upon themselves to create their own narrative, and despite watching the video themselves many went on to criticise and say all sorts, some media outlets picked this up and they also created 1,001 stories. It’s extremely weird how so many have a problem with what I wrote (facts) and if you go onto many of their profiles they have been slating the club all season, the manager(s), the players and the fans, pretty much everything. This season hasn’t been a good one on the pitch and I get the frustration. Anyone that actually knows me knows what sort of person I am and I shouldn’t be explaining myself here; but try questioning the people who created all these narratives, made lies up, created headlines, etc, it simply wasn’t me. The other thing that is extremely weird with some, people assume so much about me, without asking, like YouTube is my job, it isn’t. And only last week I was a “happy clapper” and “he works for the club!” And now I apparently want to bring the club down and slate a player. No, absolutely not. What will it be next week? Some have agendas, I get it, some see I run a very successful channel and they want the same. People always want what you have – that’s life. I work very hard in a professional way every day, constantly evolving in what I do on a daily basis and always try to remain positive, something else I am often criticised for… Would I really have a channel that has had 190 million views and over 207,000 subscribers if I acted the way some have stated? Like I said, 75 games so far this season, and this is also something I get criticised for – how can you get criticised by supporting the club all over?! What a crazy world we live in. Tottenham Hotspur is my passion, I love the club, Life is far too short, want to follow me, fine, don’t want to follow, no problem at all, don’t like what I do or don’t agree with my opinions, I don’t care about numbers, how many clicks, how many followers, etc - no hard feelings at all – just block, we all move on, but have a mind of your own, don’t scapegoat people. This is the last I will say on this matter, and it’s also the last time I write something like this on X explaining myself. And many thanks to the people who have reached out in the last few days. Have a great weekend and let’s hope for three points at Craven Cottage. #COYS #THFC

@ChrisCowlin Fabulous. However the chances of Levy changing his mind are similar to our chances of winning the Premier league, FA Cup & Champions League next season!

Nick Reece, Lord Mayor of Melbourne has sent a message to Spurs chairman Daniel Levy… “On behalf of the people of Melbourne, and Premier League fans around the world, I call on Tottenham Hotspur FC to reconsider its decision to sack coach Ange Postecoglou. In the City of Melbourne we have followed Ange’s career closely for decades. He began his junior and senior career in Melbourne as a player and later coach at South Melbourne in the 1980s. "Never underestimate Ange’s determination to win, and his ability to carry teams to greatness. We have seen this time again over his career. This year Tottenham made history by winning the Europa League trophy - its first such win in 17 years. We will see with further trophies follow if Ange is given the chance. "Don’t let Tottenham be known as the team that is allergic to silverware. Let Ange lead the players onto greatness in next years Premier League campaign." #COYS #THFC

Former Spurs midfielder Jamie O'Hara believes Spurs have to SACK Ange Postecoglou and names his ideal replacement... “It’s time for Spurs to move on from Ange. He’s lost 22 games in the Premier League; this season has been a shambles. I understand he won the Europa League, which was a monumental moment for the football club but, let’s be honest, the game was terrible, the performance wasn’t great, and Man Utd were an awful opposition. "I believe Daniel Levy is genuinely thinking about getting rid of him and looking at other options. I would be looking at Thomas Frank or Andoni Iraola. Frank has been in the Premier League a long time, he’s done a great job at Brentford with a budget. Does he deserve the chance at a ‘Big Six’ club? I’d say he probably does. “But if you’re going to go big, Levy should be looking at the likes of Xavi Hernandez or Simone Inzaghi. There are options out there, and Spurs need to realise they’re a big football club, playing in the Champions League next season, with a UEFA Super Cup to play and the opportunity to kick on next year. Is Ange the man to take them forward? I don’t think so.” #COYS #THFC

Man Utd captain (yes, captain!) Bruno Fernandes did this to an 18yo who came on in the 79th minute in the defeat to Spurs last night… Should he be facing a lengthy ban? 🤔

I’m sorry, the show has lost all credibility now. Such a shame but, as the programme heads to the final, it should be about the dancing. The audience should have a say, but there should be a weight towards the quality. Shame on you #Strictly

@ChrisCowlin I agree. Top analysis. Levy was wrong to sack Poch & then made poor decisions. Ange has done a great job since taking over, building, bottom up, for the future. If Levy sacks him, he will undo all the work done over the past 18 months. Give Ange time; all of his 4 year contract.

In my opinion Ange Postecoglou needs to be backed 100% and THFC need to be all in with this project. After a few bad results and performances all of sudden half the fan base wants another manager gone and replaced. Since and including Pochettino we've had 7 managers in the dugout since 2019. This cycle cannot continue. Honestly, if Ange went today, then what? What's your plan? In recent years there are decisions I haven't agreed with at all, sacking Poch in 2019 and sacking Jose 6 days before a cup final. Also, a lot of poor decisions have been made in terms of recruitment, us not bringing in better players. When Ange came into the football club it was a mess, a lot of things that needed sorting. He has sorted things week by week, month by month. He achieved a 5th place finish in the Premier League, when most thought we would finish mid-table. Ange has had to balance the squad, offloaded a number of players and then got a number of new young players in the door, and has spent a substantial amount of money in the 3 transfer windows so far. The recruitment has vastly improved in the last two seasons. Did we do enough in the last summer transfer window though to compete on all fronts this season? I don't believe so, especially the way Ange wants to set-up and play this brand of football. It's exciting to have top young talent through the door but I believe you also need that balance, that experience and players for NOW, competing and ready to go, now! I don't believe the answer is to sack another manager and start again. Ange and many other managers have told us, a rebuild can be tough, losing games, bumps along the road - we need to accept this - but what we also need is CHANGE, someone that has the time, the patience, the energy, someone who has been there and done it before... someone who is going to CHANGE the mentality at the club FINALLY... someone who is going to guide this club to success. The man needs BACKING, not sacking. It has to be different this time. BACK THE MANAGER 100%, not 10%, 50% or even 99%. If you give someone the keys to a rebuild, give them it - FULLY, ALL IN! Not half hearted. As Ange has said many times fans have the right to say and feel what they want but is changing the manager again really the answer?! In my opinion, Daniel Levy and the board need to FULLY back the process, back the manager and provide the tools for Ange to do the best job possible. The fans have gone without success for far too long. Let's also add some balance here in terms of Spurs being 10th right now, a win on Sunday and we would be sitting in 3rd, the League is very tight at the moment and things can turnaround very quickly. Also, some of these players need to give more, and some are young and inexperienced. It's not always about the manager. We have seen some great football under Postecoglou so far but it's now about consistency. Ange has taken the blame and I'm sure he will fix it. My hope is that Ange Postecoglou takes the cup competitions very seriously this season and Daniel Levy, Scott Munn and Johan Lange give Postecoglou everything he needs going forward. Ange loves a challenge and it seems he has always achieved (and has had MANY doubters before)... and he now has to add another thing on the "to do" list at Tottenham - winning half the Spurs fanbase back and getting them back on board. A rebuild is NOT easy for a manager (or the fans) especially when you lose someone like Harry Kane a few weeks into your job. #COYS #THFC
