s1-s2 of FiM is fundamentally a different show altogether to s8-s9. the only thing they have in common are the lights and sounds tricking "fans" into thinking they are the same show, that kept "fans" watching and buying even when it the story "fans" actually liked had long ended

this has been said by many other people more eloquently before but i want to repeat it: you never liked "franchises" or "IP". you liked stories and art, you like creative works and creators. conceiving of yourself as "a fan of [insert IP here]" gets you exploited

@eyuplovely @CounsellingSam It’s a real dichotomy many have to wrestle with. I am not a fan of theocratic or one party systems of government but absolutely against foreign interventions and illegal wars. It’s a dilemma many find difficult to understand. I had the same problem when the West invaded Iraq.
