Tonight is one of our twice monthly Communications Unit (COMU) work nights. Team members are testing new equipment and preparing equipment for a Civil Air Patrol exercise that we are assisting with communications on Saturday.

Ohio EMA is hosting Earth Ex III, a tabletop to exercise Protection, Response & Recovery. The scenario is a widespread regional severe weather event that impacts Ohio, which includes severe flooding and a derecho wind event. The windstorm causes extensive power outages. #EarthEx

We have COMU staff attending the Strategic Technology Reserve workshop. Team members from 16 Unified Command Posts and 9 IL Transportable Emergency Communicstions System teams from across the state, learning and working together. Continually preparing to support 1st responders
