Bobby made the ultimate sacrifice last night battling an aggressive 3-alarm fire in Dorchester. Through the efforts of Bobby and others on scene, all five residents made it out safely, and the fire was kept from spreading to adjacent homes. (2/3)

Bobby Kilduff was one of our best. For 24 years, Bobby served the people of Boston as a fire fighter, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. He was a Marine, a Jake through and through, and part of a family dedicated to serving others on and off the job. (1/3)

Violence against first responders is unacceptable. Thankfully, our two Schenectady Local 28 members have been released from the hospital and are recovering at home after being assaulted while responding to a fire. The quick actions of the police led to charges being filed.

The IAFF extends our condolences to the friends and family of 27-year-old Andrew Cross, and all those he served alongside in the Morrill Volunteer Fire Department. We are also keeping those injured in yesterday’s explosion in our thoughts as they recover.
