Michael Altman made the ultimate sacrifice today. A fourth-generation fire fighter, he proudly served the City of Chicago as his grandfather, uncles, and father did before him. My prayers are with Michael's wife and family, his friends, and the entire membership of @CFDLocal2.

One year ago, the WEP/GPO – two of the most unjust penalties on America’s retirees – were repealed. The @IAFFofficial proudly led the fight to ensure fire fighters, cops, teachers, and other dedicated public workers receive the Social Security benefits they earned and paid into.
